[A rather loud and pained scream echos through the halls of the Dressing room.

And then there's silence.

Should anyone bother to look for the source of the scream, they'd find Aericka, leaning heavily against the wall, biting into her lip to keep from screaming again.

The strange part?
There's darkness leaking out of her.

And it seems to be causing her quite a bit of pain.]

[It's more the 'scent' of darkness on the air than the scream that has Kurt investigating... he doesn't immediately recognise whose it is from sound alone.
As he gets closer, though... there's something familiar about it, he thinks. And on finally seeing who it is - he just about runs.]

[She's in too much pain to recognize anything or anyone around her. Just give her a moment. Or two.]

[He reaches out to put a hand on her shoulder as he gets there, both to try and get a better sense of this darkness and to try his best at comforting her-]

[It's a lot of darkness. Pure darkness. Still growing. Very chaotic.

A whimper escapes her throat and she bites into her lip even harder to keep from screaming again.]

Sssh. Ssh. Just try to breathe.

[Hm. He can try and smooth it as it grows, at least, try and help things settle... not something he's got much experience with, mind.]

[She's trying, but it seems that trying to force the pain back is higher on her list of important things. Breathing can wait.

Of course, this means she's actually trying to fight the darkness, rather than control it. She doesn't know what's going on and just wants the pain to stop.]

Listen to me. I can - make things easier. I can calm this down. But you have to trust me. You have to try and relax.

[Well she hears that. And she tries to relax, but it hurts so much and she cant.
She gives another small cry of pain.]

[His voice is soft, sympathetic - again, as far as he can manage.]

Good - good. I know this must be hard.

((OOC: No worries, he doesn't plan on Heartlessing her or anything: he's just planning on trying to 'control/block' the worst of the darkness, letting it come through at a pace she can cope with.))

[There are actually a few tears managing to escape her eyes now. She tries again to relax, and she can feel that pain coming back. She bites her lip again, determined not to scream again.]

[ooc: Just checking. ^^; Yeah. That could work. So long as it's not so overwhelming she should be okay with trying to learn to control it on her own.]

[How to do this? It'd be so easy to just follow his instincts - but it'd put both of them in danger. No, this isn't the time for that. A last resort, maybe.

Just concentrate on my voice. This may feel even stranger at first - but this will get better.

[Ugh, this is going to be a mess - it's possible to see a hint of his own darkness spiralling around his hand (which, for a moment, looks more like a claw. Tracing it back, finding the source.]

[He'd been walking down the hall, just minding his own business when he heard the scream. His instincts kicking in, he immediately took off towards the scream. He wasn't prepared for what he saw.]

[Nope. Sorry. She's just completely overwhelmed by Darkness at the moment.]

Ok, now I need you to try and focus. Find a center in your mind and concentrate on that. Then pull the darkness to that center, I know it's going to be hard, but you can control it.
