literary curve;

[There are surprisingly little things to do when you're a ghost. He's had his fill of spying and listening in on people for today, so he's taken up residence in a chair in the library, sorting through one book after another.]

How is there absolutely nothing to read in here?
dawnrise: (I'll open a path)

Nothing, or nothing you want?

[...asks a voice from the next aisle over.]
dawnrise: (what a small world)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
[sets a book back on a shelf.]

You sure about that?
dawnrise: (nothing's changed)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
I'd argue that, but I can't find anything interesting.

[walks around the aisle. behold, a one-armed Girlyku.]
dawnrise: (always closer than you think)

Maybe we're looking in the wrong places.

[Looks at him, not quite surprised, then at the book.]

Problem?
dawnrise: (the waves sound the same)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
[She appreciates that part of it, in a way.]

How hard is it?
dawnrise: (what a small world)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Not exactly something I can compare it to.

[Watches the book, only slightly interested.]
dawnrise: (what a small world)

Point made.

[Well he's got one for now. After all, there's nothing interesting on the shelves.]
dawnrise: (I wished I could)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
[She's so surprised by that question that she just stares at him for a moment, then relaxes.]

I might. Why?
dawnrise: (I'll tell you why)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
Really.

[Small world?]
dawnrise: (what a small world)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
I can see why you would be.

[He's not entirely unlike one.]
dawnrise: (always closer than you think)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't either. But I doubt the Axel I know did.
dawnrise: (I'll tell you why)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
I couldn't see it. But I wouldn't know.

[... But Axel as a woman and Axel as a man are two entirely different things to her, sometimes.]
dawnrise: (what a small world)

[personal profile] dawnrise 2009-04-11 09:42 am (UTC)(link)
I'd never cared enough to think about it.

[But now, considering her Axel's Other... Oh dear lord. She did not want to imagine Red as a woman.]

I'm rather curious as to what your definition of 'nothing' is, then.

[behold, one of the resident bookworms]

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-04-11 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Frankly, I'm inclined to disagree. There are books here on just about every subject be it the various genres of fiction, books specifically written about the many worlds in existence, science, history, and even books written for those with, erm... obscene tastes.

Considering this, what do you find interesting?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-04-12 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose we all have our own opinions, it just seems rather strange, when there's likely books of every subject here-- surely there would be something if you looked hard enough.

What sort of answer would that be?
