because this isn't creepy at all

[This Vexen is currently occupied in his lab, which he has finally organized and stocked to his own meticulous specifications. It is very clean, white, and sterile at the moment, and the only thing of note is the wall of shelves on one side, where many jars are organized, each with a floating Heart inside, each giving off a shine. Unfortunately, not all of the Hearts are that healthy pinkish color... some are purple, some are greenish, and a few are nearly black and barely floating at all.]

... Specimen H-023: Failure. Specimen H-024: Acceptable. Specimen H-025... hmmm...

--- thanks.

[blinks, but accepts the jar.]

Uh. My Other used drugs.

[that's the short explanation, at least. said "drug" didn't agree with human physiology and left some damage.]

[shrugs.]

The whole city I used to live in thrived on it.

Pretty much. It could be used to change pretty much anything about the body, from sex to skin colour. The man who founded the city freed the scientists from the phony ethics that'd hold them back from using such substances in the first place.

[shrugs.]

The city was a heaven for scientists who didn't want to be constrained by petty morality. Things later went downhill since it apparently didn't agree with human physiology, causing physical and mental damage or something.

Which is why things went downhill. That stuff was handed out like candy. Like, I could go to the dentist and get a Telekinesis plasmid for free.

[Yep, telekinesis. The drugs/substances gave cool powers. :/]

[subject change!]

Aside from the experiment, what have you been doing lately?

[identity profile] femmyx.livejournal.com 2009-04-04 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see. I've mostly been trying to figure out the whole deal about that other nexus I've been to.

[identity profile] femmyx.livejournal.com 2009-04-04 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing, really. That place is more crazy than this one.

[identity profile] femmyx.livejournal.com 2009-04-04 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
There's...events several times a month. I've already seen a zombie apocalypse inside a mall and gone through a body switch during my time there.

The whole thing's set up quite differently than this nexus. It's like a huge city where everything's free.

[identity profile] femmyx.livejournal.com 2009-04-04 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. The residents just pick an empty house to stay in.

[identity profile] femmyx.livejournal.com 2009-04-04 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
Except Traverse Town doesn't mess with its residents using zombie apocalypses, genderswapping and stuff like that.

good night~

The company's pretty nice in the other nexus, though. But I've basically only seen two members of the Organization there, and both were Demyxes.
