[up in the attic room, as usual.]
[in a pair of wrinkled jeans, kneeling on his bed - which is a mess of sheets and pillows with a few sheets of musical drabble resting on top.
he's messing with the latch at the new, dusty window overlooking the ocean. it's a tad tarnished and therefore difficult to move]
[glances up and grabs a screwdriver from one of the shelves in the rafters, knocks the latch up, tosses the screwdriver back up to the shelf and pushes the rickety window open]
[the blast of ocean air and the touch of fog and cool humidity is all it takes to get a smile out of him]
