[She knew she really shouldn't be doing this. She hadn't practiced enough to be able to use magic this advanced. She knew that she probably didn't have the stamina to do this...But...For some reason...She still wants to try.

There's a Namine standing in front of a desk in the library, a book open in front of her and a small object lying on the desk.

She takes a deep breath before starting to read out the spell in the book...]

[Maybe he should have said something...Cause the moment she finishes the spell, a bright flash of light comes from the object on the desk...And Namine collapses, just managing to hold onto the desk for support.]

Yay! I started making older!Namine's icons last night.

That's for you. I...I've been meaning to finish it for ages, but I hadn't been able to do magic before.
[Remember that small shell she found at the beach party? She's turned it into a necklace. Not a really feminine one by the way. Just added a simple braided thread and a magical spell that almost caused her to pass out! That's all!]

It's...A protection charm. It'll protect you if someone tries to hurt you. But it doesn't last a long time and when it wears off it could take a while to recharge.
[Bites her lip nervously.]
