[Bawk takes off running not far behind, although it gets distracted by a stash of crackers Roxas left by the toybox -- hang on, having a quick snack now.]

*what? snacks? Poco makes a U-turn and heads for the crackers too*

Hey! You guys are 'sposed to be racing!

[toddles over there to find out what's got the chocobos so interested.]

*Poco is pecking a cracker to death*

... 'bug? What's going on?

[tries to gather Bawk and Poco up in his arms and away from the crackers.]

They found some crackers!

*makes his way over to help you shoo them away from that box*

Crackers? Oh, these must be Roxas'. He really likes crackers.

[plops down at Ri's feet, holding on tight to Bawk.]

Ohhh. Am I gonna like crackers too?

*he's got hold of Poco, and moves the box of crackers up to a table*

Eh? You can like whatever you want, 'bug. You don't have to like like anything. Why?

I just wanna make sure he's happy when we get squished.

*sighs and takes a seat, making a motion that says you can climb on his lap if you want*

Are you worried about getting squished?

[certainly can't turn down that offer, climbing on Ri's lap and curling up to rest.]

I gotta be ready for when he does. Can we start learning how t'make the doors?

*nods, taking Bawk from you and setting him and Poco down on the floor*

I think we should. But remember, I have to teach you some important stuff first.

[waves bye to Bawk, and watches it try to wrestle Poco for a minute.]

Okay. What do I gotta do?

Well, first, I'll teach you some things, but you have to listen and understand everything. Okay? And you can ask questions if you don't understand.

*rubs his temple a bit, since it took him forever to figure out how to explain this to you*

[nods a bit!]

Do I gotta take notes, Daddy? I can go get my crayons.

No no. This is stuff that you have to remember, even without notes. I'm not sure if you'll be able to make portals, but it's important stuff you need to know.

[rests his head against Ri's chest, ears open for listening.]

Okay, well, you know about Hearts, right? You getting attacked by a bug is what made you and Roxas two different people. You understand that, right?

Uh huh.

[sits there quietly -- what he can remember about being a bug isn't exactly one of Sora's favorite memories.]

Well, people's Hearts are usually made up of two things, Light and Darkness. Mostly Light though, which is why you should do good things and stay on Santa's Nice list. When you do naughty and bad things, that's Darkness.

Being able to make portals is something only people with lots of Darkness can do.

[looks up at Ri, eyes wide.]

So you've got lots of Darkness, Daddy? But you're really nice!

*nods*

I said people's Hearts are usually made up of Light and Darkness. But there's some people, special girls with only Light in their Hearts. They're Princesses. And I'm... special because I've got only Darkness in my Heart.

But if you can control it, you can be nice still. But lots of people can't control their Darkness, so they're very very mean.

Ohhh ... So, so I gotta have lots of darkness in my Heart?

*shakes his head*

No no. I don't want you to try and be naughty or mean or anything like that! I'll try and teach you anyway. Though, it might work better once you're... squished with Roxas.

[nods a little.]
