[some distance from the main area there's the sound of an explosion, followed by something shattering, and then a Vexen falls through a door. he looks older than most Vexens, especially given the grey streaking his hair. he's got a somewhat torn lab coat on, and that shield Vexens are known for is on the floor next to him.

How is the future?

Bleak. The Heartless grow in ridiculous numbers. There are few safe zones left and those of us capable of fighting are forced to do so quite often. I have spent fifteen years developing ways to combat the Heartless and protect those who cannot fight.

Tch. I hope I can get out of this place before that happens.
