vivere disce, cogita mori

[by a desk in a corner of the library sits a replica by the name of Roxas.
he's got a notepad and a pen in front of him, and piles and piles of books around him. they have titles such as 'Obscura Mortis' and 'The Afterlife'.
he was actually only supposed to pick up a single book on the subject of death and afterlife, but found so many he thought he might as well do a thorough job. too bad he's not really the research kind of guy... or the difficult words kind of guy.]

I wish the doctor was here...

[Not really, but Dr. Even could have explained the books... or simply given him an answer to his questions. his Even might have been cold hearted, cowardly and not very good at creating replicas, but he was still smart and understood these odd words in strange languages.]

I doubt you'll find any true answer in any of these books. There are many different ideas regarding the concept of afterlife.

I deal with death directly at my job, so I should know.

It matters not. Death works different in other dimensions, such as this one. Those who die here merely come back with no explanation at all.

I was sent here to find out why they come back.

you didn't see anything

The Ministry of Hades.

[doesn't see any reason to avoid telling people about the afterlife in the universe he came from. he didn't have anything to lose.]

Not less unbelievable than this crossroad of dimensions.

There's not really one easy answer you know. That's a pretty complicated subject.

These should be something along the lines of what you're looking for. They're in plain English, anyway.

[identity profile] sunrisingly.livejournal.com 2008-12-27 01:32 am (UTC)(link)

Yeah. You really read through all those?

[identity profile] sunrisingly.livejournal.com 2008-12-27 01:38 am (UTC)(link)

That's the way Latin presents. Out of curiosity, why are you so interested in reading about death?
