I find it a guilty pleasure to watch them, though.

There's an annoying boy who won't leave me alone. He keeps calling me a 'puppy.'

[ rumbles in his throat, a pronounced "rro" of surprise. ]

I attract a lot of unwanted attention.

As do I. They're all so fascinated.

[shakes his head, moving down to nip at Riku's neck.]

[ finally there's a pair of hands being introduced to his forearms, though it's not for pushing him away. ]

I don't mind the children; but some are just obnoxious.

No ... the brown haired boys are generous, they're not too loud, save some.

[he's actually taken a brief liking to one.]

There's a pup around here somewhere.

They're amusing, too.

[ distracted about the pup, but he'll let that slide. the older ones are what he's more interested in. ]

[and as far as he knows, the only other canine that's here is that new fox, and that's on his nerves. foxes were a bother.]

I'm more interested in learning about you, though.

[ his ears dip low, a subtle sign of self-consciousness. ]

And I you.

[nuzzles against him, as if to reassure him that there's nothing to worry about.]

[ a little peculiar, since he'd half-expected to be chased to the ends of the dressing room and back, but he'll get used to it. ]

[maybe while playing, yeah, but with no malicious intent.]

Any friends back in your world worth mentioning?

[ hence why it's so strange. ]

Friends hold you back.

[ and yet here he is, making one. ]

I'd have expected that from a black wolf.

[scrunches his nose.]

I've never met a cat that didn't enjoy company.

Another difference, then ...

[ something he'd almost regret, if he ever had the time for it. ]

Then again, I've only met a few who could stand to be around me, and normally they were big cats.

[flicks his ears back.]

[ and that's when his ears swivel very low, looking off to the side. ]

I like yours, too. That's apparent, but most of your subspecies didn't want anything to do with me. Maybe it's the inner dog to try to convince you I'm not all that bad.

[presses against him.]

More differences.

[ don't mind those claws, there, flexing and kneading unconsciously. oh, he really likes you now. ]

[groans, but it's nothing but relief, mouth parted as he pants softly.]

You're very amusing.

[ kneads and presses. is that an even higher compliment? how interesting. ]

[oooh, he really enjoys that, tail beating against his legs with every happy wag, groans erupting from the back of his throat.]

[ noses against his face, not really bred with the exact same instincts, though a sandpaper tongue may flick out once or twice regardless. ]

[moves his hips against him, as if urging him to lay back. he's not one to stand when getting affectionate.]
