[she's making food in the kitchen. ...quite a bit of it, actually. she herself isn't very hungry, but there's little else to do to distract her from the fact that she's upset. her sister's birthday was a week ago, and she didn't even realize it. but now she's been thinking about it and her and home, so she's just a little sad.]

[slides them on, shifting into a comfortable, if rather amateur, stance. some part of her mind is telling her this isn't the best place for a spar, but she doesn't really care. it's not like things won't get fixed. after a moment of watching him, she heads for him, knives at the ready.]

[she's quick, for a normal teenager without any real training, but her attacks are a bit sloppy and she hesitates a lot, not used to the whole attacking people thing.]
