[The kitchen is a nice place. Even when there are people there, usually Riku can slip in, grab what she wants, and leave without ever speaking to them.

She's sticking around this time, seated at the table in a pair of loose jeans and a hoodie that looks a couple sizes too large. No shoes, either. The hood's pulled up over her eyes and she's spooning colorful cereal into her mouth. Someone couldn't get to sleep.]

[Pretty Princess Kai's just wandered into the kitchen, looking for something to drink. but he pauses as soon as he sees her, stumbling over.]

[tilts her head up to look at him, blinks, then offers a smile.]

Also I had a nightmare.

[sleepy Kai is v. sleepy and just wandering in to get something to snack on. he doesn't even register that there's someone else in there at first.]

[...of all people. she's just going to hang her head and keep munching on that soggy cereal.]

[he looks pretty tired himself, munching on a cookie thoughtfully before realizing someone else is in there and he turns to look--]

[busted. sighing on the inside, she turns to look at him, the spoon held in her teeth.]

*someone is wearing pyjama bottoms with moogles printed on them, and that's it; he's also rustling noisy as he searches for a good late night snack*

[hi there, Ri. Riku quirks an eyebrow at the moogle print, but she's not feeling talkative right now, so back to her cereal it is.]

[stiffens, not bothering to look up. to ignore or not to ignore, hm, hmmm.]

[knows this - probably would've done the same a few years ago. she'll just glare down at her cereal, drowning a poor little colorful piece.]

[walking by the kitchen, she pauses upon spying Girlyku and makes her way over, standing near the table silently and just watching her.]

[...that's not weird or anything. she'll set the spoon down, reaching up with a hand that's half hidden to slide her hood back. gee, that presence feels strange.]
