[perched on a bar stool at the family bar, dressed in suit and tie. with a cigarette in hand, he absently took a drag before picking up his gin martini. he closed his eyes as he drank deeply, polishing it off. he goes to set the empty glass on the bar... and jumps as he hears it shatter on the floor instead]

Shit! Marly, I'm sorry--

[opens his eyes, expecting to see a very pissed off bartender. instead he saw a kitchen, not the bar... tugging at the neck of his tie, he slid the cigarette back between his lips, talking around it like a pro. his other hand slipped off his glasses with a soft sigh]

The boss is going to be pissed if I miss that meeting.
