[there's a large bam as this grown man bursts out of the ballroom and slams the doors roughly behind him. he stands with his back to the doors, gasping for air.]

There's a .. there's a dinosaur in there.

[pauses, still leaning heavily against the doors -- as if doing so would actually stop a dinosaur from barreling through. he certainly doesn't look as alarmed as he probably should.]

... That is so cool!

[blinks, then practically beams at him.]

Oh, the Keyblade Riku gave me.

[summons it to show him.]

[ah! Sora's area of expertise. he holds out his hand, summoning his own Keyblade.]

Let's spar then; I want to see what you can do.

[sdjfh spar against a Sora? it's one thing sparring against that Riku he made friends with, but this is a Sora and sdfjkskdf.]

Okay.

[slides into a ready stance, face set with determination.]

[takes a few steps back, holding his hand out to make a "come on!" motion with his fingers.]

Don't hold back.

This is where I inform you that I suck at fightscenes.

[hesitates for a moment before running at Sora, blade coming down to slash at him.]

[twists his own Keyblade sideways to meet with Kai's, before shoving at him a bit. he isn't going to fight back just yet; he wants to see how Kai fights.]

[most of how he fights is from watching his own Sora and Riku, plus a few other people he hung out with before this place. he doesn't stumble at the shove, instead sliding to the side for another quick slash.]

[he's not nearly as fast on his feet as he was when he was younger, but he's able to sidestep out of the way -- once he's behind Kai, he reaches out with a palm and shoves again. he's curious to see if he can frustrate him.]

[okay that makes him stumble a bit, just a bit mind you, before he turns on his heel quickly, keyblade up. he doesn't look very frustrated, just incredibly focused on the 'fight'.]

[Sora can appreciate determination like that -- time to pick up the pace.]

[he's suddenly on the offensive, swinging down on Kai with his Keyblade. his arm strength is the one thing that didn't deplete over time: larger limbs lead to bigger muscles lead to more powerful swings.]

[lets out a quiet noise of surprise, but manages to block. after a second he pushes against it and chances another strike before quickly moving away.]

[o-oof. kid's got a powerful swing; that definitely hurt more than Sora's letting on. that won't stop him from lumbering forward like a freight train, Keyblade poised to attack again.]

[oh snap. not counting the dinosaurs, Sora's the biggest opponent he's faced, so he's just a little nervous about the fact that the guy's heading straight for him. he braces himself, holding his Keyblade up defensively.]

[he's not intending to actually hit Kai this time, instead Keyblade meets Keyblade for an impromptu struggle match.]

[Sora would probably overpower him eventually, but he's more interested in suddenly sweeping at Kai's feet with his own and sending him to the floor.]

[he wasn't expecting that and yelps, falling back on his ass.]

O-Ow.

[it's said more out of shock than actual pain.]

[grins, and offers a hand to help him up.]

You look like you already have a fighting style down. You just need to perfect it!

And probably work on your defense a little bit.

Well I've been practicing by myself. Just haven't found a person to help me regularly. Although Amina did say she would the other day. But it'd be good to get practice against more than one person.
