[don't mind him, he's just tinkering with some odd mixture of some sort in the kitchen, pouring a transparent liquid into a pot and dropping in something that resembles an oversize carrot. with a puff of smoke, the carrot seems to be gone and the contents of the pot have turned white]

...I wonder if it really is a restorative as he said...

Much of the time you seem not to expect me to view you the way I do. He seemed to think I was supposed to be repulsed or frightened by him, and there are times you seem to anticipate that I'd think poorly of you.
