[this Sora's in the garden, but chances are it's not out of boredom. her clothes are bloodstained, her eyes are red like she's been crying, and she's...got a shovel in hand.]

Rikus in particular do stupid things if the people they care about are threatened.

[that's all he'll say on the matter, turning to the side.]

[just glares.]

Is that all you can do?

['scuse me, stepping in and grabbing a hold of Sora's arm before turning to glare at Roxas.]

Leave. Now.

[good thing, because that distracts her. she hasn't summoned her Keyblade yet, but she was about to.]

Kai, I can't just let him get away with that!

[nods curtly. it's no skin off of his back, and besides -- anyone can be caught alone.]

If you insist. Maybe I should have picked a different Riku.

[holds a hand out, to summon a portal probably. but he's not making any further movements.]

I wonder what it feels like, to die in vain?

I'm not going to let you do anything stupid, Sora.

[he smiles at her briefly, demeanor changing entirely as soon as his eyes are back on Roxas.]

Shut up and leave.

[stiffly, anger brimming in his eyes. but he's not going to attack, and he's not going to let Sora attack either.]

[waves a hand dismissively at Kai; he's more interested in staring coldly at Sora.]

Who do I have to kill to get a reaction out of you?

[if the way she's trying to tug her arm free from Kai's grasp is any indication, she's already not happy. :|]

Why would I tell you?

[keeps his grip tight, trying to pull her closer.]

Ignore him, Sora. You're going to walk right into whatever he's planning.

[choosing to ignore that, if only to egg her on further.]

Because I obviously haven't killed the right people for you to actually care.

[s-sorry Kai, she's stubborn when she wants to be.]

Of course I care!

Then prove it.

She doesn't have to prove it by fighting you!

[no, Sora, he's going to hold on as tight as he can.]

Calm down. She'll come back, and how do you think she'll feel knowing you got into a fight?

[...okay, that one gets to her.]

I know, but...

[in a fluid, lightning-speed movement -- there isn't even a change in the look on his face -- he summons Oathkeeper and swings it at Kai: not intending to kill, but to remove him from the playing field.]

[he might not be as fast, but he manages to let go of Sora and summon his own keyblade in time to block the strike, gritting his teeth and narrowing his eyes.]

Why the hell do you want to fight so badly?

[w-whoa, she didn't know that Kai had a keyblade. she'll summon hers, then, because she has a feeling she might need it.]

[that surprises him, but not quite enough to back off.]

Out of my way.

[his eyes narrow, and Oblivion's swinging down.]

[brings her Keyblade up to block Oblivion, glaring at Roxas]

Cut it out! Kai doesn't have anything to do with this.

[it's one-handed, and not as strong as it could be considering their awkward position, but he's shoving harshly at Sora, sneering.]

He'll leave then.

I'm not leaving Sora alone with you.

[backs away a little before slashing at Roxas.]

Just leave. What do you have to gain from this?

[shoves back a little.]

Kai, maybe--

I have everything to gain from this.

[slides out of the way from Kai's keyblade, backing off completely. time to change tactics.]

I suppose if you're not going to let Sora be alone, then I will have to find another way to get you to cooperate.

[finally rips open a portal. he didn't think he would have to have to kill again, really. Riku should have been enough -- he didn't exactly expect Sora to keep her cool, either.]

[that could be changed.]

[so not in a good mood now, glaring at Roxas/the portal and remaining silent.]
