applause applause, no wait wait -

[there is an Axel lying on the floor. Whether he's unconscious or dead is anyone's guess.

There is also another Axel standing near him. This one's probably more noticeable, with his dark crimson eyes and pure white Organization coat. He nudges the other Axel in the ribs with a boot.]

Rise and shine. I'm not gonna wait on you all day.

[both Axels are still here, though the one on the floor has sat up, his breathing shaky as he tries to adjust to life again. Something black not unlike blood dots the floor near him in small splatters. His Gemini is sitting on the arm of a nearby couch, looking pretty bored.]

[sticking quite close, snuggles next him and looks up to watch his face]

[quiet laugh - he was right, he did miss Axel's sense of humor] Oh well - that would've been cool, but I'm glad you're not too different... [pauses, silent for a moment]

I don't hear anything. [slowly grins - It worked. Not just as planned, but... now the timeframe's finally gone.]

Yeah. Always had a feeling they'd overestimated the time a bit.

[nods just a little, clinging closely - hadn't forgotten how warm Axel was; would be more than content to stay like this forever]

[speaks quietly, eyelids heavy with a thoughtful smile] ...'Missed you.

[funny how being alive again makes you go over the events leading up to your death and keeps you from sleeping.]

Me too.

[tightens his hold just a bit at that]

[slight laugh] You were right, you know. I did have sooomething of a breakdown when you left, heh... [glances up, grinning just a bit - lets go and rolls onto his stomach to get a better look at him, propping himself up on his elbows]
I was getting a little better, this week. ...It's a good thing you didn't come back a few days earlier, though. [embarrassed smile]

Well, no, that's not true. But... y'know.

[moves over Axel and kisses him once more, biding his time - straightens back up and glances down, thoughtfully] ...Never thought I'd get to do that again.

[smiles, lifts his hand and lightly brushes his fingertips over Demyx's cheek, thumb grazing his lower lip]

Same. Guess we're lucky.

[closes his eyes to the touch, leans into his hand - takes it in his own and lightly kisses his fingers at the knuckles, happy to feel the warmth of them on his upper lip]

[looks down at him, eyes are shining in the dim light, speaks quietly] More than lucky.

[slips his hand out of Demyx's grasp, leans up on his elbows and kisses him]

Wasn't exactly planning on seeing this place again.

[brb, melting to a puddle ♥ - smiles as the kiss breaks]
[brushes his fingers through Axel's hair, brings the hand down to his face and strokes one of the teardrops - speaks matter-of-factly] It sucked without you.

[closes his eyes at the touch]

Couldn't move on, huh.

[glances to the side and thinks this over - looks back to him]

...[lightly kisses the opposite teardrop, nuzzles the side of his face and whispers] ...I don't think I even tried, really.

[short laugh]

I didn't say you had to tie yourself down.

[frowns a little, but it quickly turns to a smirk] You didn't have to say anything.

[casual shrug] I am anyway.

[grins and drops another quick kiss on Demyx's lips]

It's for life, y'know.

...[a little stunned by that, stares off at nothing and repeats the words] It's for...

[looks at Axel] ...Yeah.

[smile breaks out on his face] Yeah, it is. [kisses him excitedly - since he hasn't already enough, tonight - contented smile, rolls away from Axel and rests his head on his shoulder as he takes his hand]

[settles in a bit more, drapes an arm around Demyx's waist]

So don't go around chasing any more vampires.

[raises eyebrows abruptly - guilt across his face]

... [quiet laugh, inches closer to Axel and places a hand on his arm, kisses his neck lightly] 'Kay. I can handle that.

[looks up at him, brushes the back of his hand over his forehead and around his face] Hmm, you should get some sleep...

Yeah, probably. Someone's keeping me up though.

[still smiling] Sorry, sorry...

[reaches up to kiss his cheek one last time] ...I'm glad you're home.

[moves away just a little to make some space - though his hand still covers Axel's]

[nope, all he does is pull Demyx closer again with a laugh]

Yeah. So am I.

[he's going go to sleep now, seriously]

[left feeling quite content with life as a whole - happily inhales the warm air around them; the smell of Axel and the feeling of his arms around him are once again familiar. - snuggles a bit closer.]

[isn't that tired, but will probably sleep well for the first time in weeks - and this time he's perfectly happy not to have the tick-tock.]
