[Sora's wandered into a kitchen and is currently rooting around in the upper cabinets to see just what is in them. He's avoiding anything that looks like it has a visible cord on the off-chance it comes to life to try to murder him, instead standing on a chair to investigate what else there may be. It would appear he's just discovered a bag of refined sugar.]

[If he watches long enough he might spot Even's tail twitch a bit because Even's not actively focusing on trying to keep it still, but otherwise it's probably not too noticeable.]

Do you want any?

[He jumps a bit, looking guilty at being caught staring but his stomach is far more persuasive than any of his lingering fear.]

Yes! .... Please.

[Technically he probably didn't really catch Sora at all, he was mostly just responding to movement and lacks the social awareness to really notice things like staring unless he's explicitly looking for it.]

Get yourself a plate.

[He scrambles to do so, both because of the order and because he's hungry. Food is the quickest way to earn his trust it would seem, and this is at least food that he's familiar with. Sora's certainly less shy about coming closer with his plate, but it's only to quickly put it on the counter next to Even and back away again.]

[Since Even's already got a plate for himself he's just got to serve things out.
He's not stingy with the serving sizes, but he is kind of hoarding a lot of the bacon for himself and making up the difference with extra eggs for Sora's portion.

He's also going to smother his in chilli sauce. He figures Sora can figure out what to do with his himself at this point, so he's just going to move over to the table.]

[As soon as Even puts the sauce down, Sora's going to pick it up to investigate it. He's never seen someone do that to their eggs before, but he'll do the same, over a small portion of the eggs on his own plate. He doesn't really mind if Even got a lot more of the bacon, being generally happy that he got any of it.

Sora settles across the table from Even with a spoon, though he doesn't eat right away. His eyes are closed and his head is down, mouth moving in a whispered prayer.]

[Religion still completely baffles Even even at this age so he's just doing his best to ignore this and using his fingers to dip his bacon in egg yolk and chilli sauce before he takes a bite.]

[He's going to mimic Even, though once the sauce hits his mouth he's suddenly choking, torn between trying to swallow or not before he gives up and just spits what he can back out onto his plate, still coughing.]

[Even's sniggering, tying not to snort anything or choke.]

Don't like spicy things?

What is that!?

[If he'd realized ahead of time he wouldn't have had so much at once, if at all.]

Chilli sauce, it's made from a fruit, usually fairly sweet but it's also spicy, which is most of the appeal.

...If it still burns, get a glass of milk. Drinking water will just make it burn more.

[He's immediately moving to do just that, though he pauses in brief confusion at all the things in the fridge before grabbing the only thing that could possibly be milk. He pours a glass and downs it quickly, then pours another before putting the milk back and returning to his seat. He's going to poke the mess he spit out away from the rest of his food, because he's never wasted food unless he wanted to be punished.]

I don't like it.

[It's not like Even is going to get up and make more, or complain about others not eating. ~~The question is, is Sora brave enough to make the exact same mistake with something like coffee.~~]
