[Aqua is in the middle, by the fountain... dancing with her Keyblade, Rain.]

[there is something truly beautiful about the dance, something elegant and primal and real]

I...

[Watches, slowly smiling.]

You look like you're having fun.

Fun? Hmm.

Not quite fun. What... little comes back is as dark as it is light.

... but I AM remembering. [smiles at him slightly] [strike, twirl, swirl, dance] pieces and bits, bits and pieces...

You're dancing again, like you did before.

[He walks closer to her.]

I haven't seen you do that in a long time. You were happy that night.

[in one fluid motion, unsummons her keyblade and takes Ven by the hand] [she pulls him into a dance, leading]

It is hard to remember. Only fragments. But...

[smiles again, the ghost of a ghost] It was... I was happy. I think. ... a bright candle light amidst the dark that was to come.

[He stumbles into her almost, pulled along into her dance, not very well, though.]

I'm not really good at this at all.

...But I remember that night a little more now. I remember we were happier then, all of us.

That's why I'm leading~. [dance]

Before the Darkness. Yes. All of us...

[Standing off to the side is a Terra with his arms crossed behind his back.]

[He's a little thinner and has dark circles under his eyes, but he seems content to stay nearby and watch Aqua then Ven dance. Such a haunting sight but he couldn't turn his back to them if he tried.]

[sees him as she dances, eyes flashing recognition. There is sadness, but joy as well... and faith. a deep faith. she says nothing yet, however]

Aqua, I'm not...graceful. I can't dance at a -- [Dances with her, grimacing when he can't do the right steps nearly so well.]

He's missed you too, you know.

Think of it like fighting. It's the same moves, but a different purpose. Let it flow, like water, like wind. Here. [helps]

... he has?

... I thought he'd left us. [voice shows that she never believed that - she had faith in him. to the end, she had faith.]

Oh, yeah, like fighting. [Grins, trying to move a little better.]

Of course he has. He wanted to see you for so long.

...He's been distant, but never gone. He'd never leave.

[Shifts, looking away and back again. He smiles to himself. It's almost as though he's standing guard, waiting for any trespasser that would dare ruin the moment.]

... Yes. [looking over to where he stands in the corner]

[looks back to Ven] I've missed you as well. Even unwaking, I've missed you.

[and, after a time, tells Ven to wait a moment, she has something she has to do]

[and walks over]

So much remembrance and forgetting. It comes in waves, crashing, receding, crashing. But as the high tide... inch by inch, I gain ground...

I always... [pause]

I missed you too, both of you.

But we're here together, right? We won't be separated.

Memories... memories, as I say, crash and recede like waves for me. Some days I can see it all with such clarity. And others... there is nothing.

... but I think I see now. As the high tide... each crash, each wave, brings me closer. A little closer...

... No. never again. Even when the wave recedes, even then. [pulls him into a hug] As it was, as it shall be, I will always be here.

[Nods slightly, stepping in closer to her. His hand reaches out to brush her arm. So many things he doesn't dare say. Don't break, don't vanish, don't be just another hallucination. Stay right here.]

I know.

[tries to hold it back. tries. But one tear gets out, as she closes her eyes and bites her lip. No, she's strong and she won't... she won't...]
[and she wraps her arms around him anyway, trying so hard not to cry and failing miserably. She's never cried before, she's fought countless battles, but this? This...?]
I believed in you.

[Hesitates, but then hugs her.]

It's okay. It's okay now. We'll protect you, both of us. We won't lose each other again.

We're at the Crossroads now, where all of our paths have connected. It's okay now.

[nods] Where all is connected. The Helix and the Tower. [nods, not bothering to explain this]

... I have to go talk to someone. [looking towards Terra] I will be here, though. [smile]

[Nods.]

Okay. I'll give you guys some space. Just call. I won't be far.

[Really... isn't sure what to say. Or do. They were gone. She's real enough- her hug is all the proof he could ever ask for- but maybe she doesn't belong to him. Like Ven's Keyblade. Familiar but a fragment of someone else's past.]

Thank you... for believing in him.

[looks straight into his eyes... and seemingly through them, as if searching for something]

Are you mine? Do you remember? [peer]

I remember but... [Shakes his head] I can't be yours. You were lost.

[peer]
You are mine, I think. [said with absolute certainty and conviction.]

Not all who wander are lost.
