Looking for a friend

[A new Axel, looking somewhat harried. He stopped and stared when he saw the multiples of everyone. This wasn't good. He needed to find Roxas, make sure Xemnas hadn't found him.]

Well shit. This just isn't my day.

Are you looking for someone?

[Drawn to this Axel by the sense of familiarity, though he didn't quite understand it. He couldn't make eye contact, and he didn't come too close. Hands would twitch just a bit]

Your day will get a lot worse. J-Just so you know.

[He arched his eyebrow.]

Yea. I am. But there seems to be many of him here, and really, how can I tell them apart?

Are you a ghost?

[Something said that this was who he was looking for, but he had to make sure.]

Roxas? Do the words, and they lived happily ever after mean anything to you?

[Realizes that if this is not his Roxas, then he's going to sound like a sleazy pick-up artist.]

Hmm...maybe you should ask them something only you know, and then give them something to wear to tell them apart?

(she shakes her head)

I'm not a ghost. I'm a weapon. A keyblade, to be specific.

(...yes, that makes sense)

[He nodded.]

That seems to be a good idea. I'll do that.

[He blinked.]

Weapons can talk?

[That caught his attention, wary tired eyes watched him carefully]

Yes... My favorite book.

[O-Oh god... finally. His chin trembled a little. I-it was his Axel. The only one who really understood him]

(she nods)

Yep.
There's lots of us here, actually.
Your weapons may be here, even.

(she doesn't now it, but, yeah, they are)

[He grinned, his eyes lighting up. He moved forward and hugged Roxas]

I swear I've been so worried about you, Roxas. First you disappear and then Sora and Xemnas. Are you ok?

[He blinked.]

That's kinda strange to think about.

[It really was a long time. He was hardly scared of Axel because he knew he wouldn't hurt him. B-But it's been so long, and after a few visits with Xemnas, he fell back into his old self. He flinched at the contact, trembling a little in Axel's arms... but he didn't want to pull away. Not from Axel]

N-no. I'm not. Xemnas is here...

[Voice trailed off. Really, what more needed to be said?]

Uh, a lot of us are sorry?

[sheepish, scratches the back of his neck.]

[He noticed that and backed off immediately.]

I'm sorry, Roxas.

[Caught the remark about Xemnas.]

Shit! And I was so hoping that you'd made it out of there without him.

Have you been able to stay away from him?

[He blinked.]

Sora! You're here too?

[--quick to shake his head.]

Uh, well, I don't think I'm the Sora you know...

[Flinches again, rubbing his arms, mumbling an 'I'm sorry' unable to maintain eye contact]

I...

[Well, let things speak for themselves. Tugs the neck of his shirt down, ashamed eyes looking away as he exposed the heavy bruising around his neck. He felt a lump rise to his throat and he swallowed hard]

Theres... more.

[He stopped and nodded. Taking a moment to look over Sora.]

No you aren't. I can see that now. Sorry.

[He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.]

Shit, Roxas. I'm sorry. I should have been there.

[Calls a cure spell to his hand and gently places the hand against the bruising.]

So he found you here?

[he smiles a little, outstretching a hand.]

Be glad to help you look for him, though!

[He shook Sora's hand.]

Thanks for the offer, but if he's here, then he doesn't want to be found. I'll wait.

[Shivers a little with the feel of the cure spell, biting his bottom lip]

Yeah... He found Sora too. B-But to prevent that from happening again I sorta... scoped him out from then on, taking what Sora was supposed to get.

[Rubs the back of his neck]

But Sora found a guardian, so he's okay now. And I heard he spooked Xemnas good, so I've been untouched for awhile now.

[Frowns then, looking up at him]

I missed you terribly. There are other Axels here... but. It's not the same.

[He reached out, being very gentle, he just wanted to hug Roxas.]

That's good for Sora, and very brave of you to take on things for Sora. I missed you too, Roxas. Really did. At first I was glad, I thought you'd gotten away, but then Sora and Xemnas disappeared and then I thought maybe he'd moved the both of you, and it scared me.

[He frowned.]

Roxas, I promise, I'll not let Xemnas hurt you anymore. I'll kill him if I have to.

[Watches, and taking in a wavering breath he stepped forward closing the distance between them. Light trembling arms linking around Axel's waist, and he rested his head against his chest. He'll be fine with it, he just needed a moment or two to relax]

You... may not have to. Sora's heart... he. Well, he got his Keyblade back.

[He sighed, leaning down to nuzzle Roxas, making sure that Roxas felt safe and cared for.]

He did? How? And what does this mean for you?

[Clutches at him just a bit, body slowly relaxing]

I think... the love he was receiving helped him grow stronger. His heart healed a-and he's better now.

[Sighs, eyes closing]

Me? I've accepted the fact that I'm... too far gone. Xemnas worked o me far longer than he worked on Sora. I can't even remember how I used to be.

[He held him tighter.]

I don't believe that. Anything is possible. We'll find some way to get you back to who you were. I promise.

[That... made him feel a lot better]

Axel... I'm so glad you're here.

[Nuzzled his hair again.]

I'm glad I'm here too. I promise, I won't leave or let Xemnas hurt you again.
