[A portal was opening into the area, that in itself was nothing new, but the people coming through it are a gruesome sight to see. Roxas has a fair amount of blood on him - however the source of all the blood is the Axel he is dragging through the portal. Axel is bleeding profusely from his torso, where parts of his guts are trying to spill out from under Axel's arm that is pressed against the wound. Axel got into something of a one sided fight with a Saïx.

Roxas is putting Axel down on the ground, on his back, as gently as he can. He's sticking next to Axel, but he's clearly looking around the room, trying to find someone to help.]

By the Light! What happened?!

[she'd just been walking by when she noticed the portal and stopped to see who was coming out. she's seen worse, really, and she's already digging into her bag for one of her more powerful potions as she hurries over]

He... got attacked by Saïx... Can you help him?

I'm no cleric, but I've got plenty of potions with me. I'll need your help with this.

[removes her gloves and rolls up her sleeves, settling a large bag that seemed to have fallen from mid-air onto the floor near them. she digs into it, pulling out a flask of thick, green liquid, and then another of bright red. she sets them down and digs through the bag again, this time removing a roll of darkly coloured bandages, faint runes etched along them. she holds up the red flask first]

He needs to swallow this first. It should heal some of the damage immediately.

[Axel observes all this, or at least what he can pay attention to when he's not wincing in pain as punishment for trying to move the wrong muscles in his abdominal area.]

S-sorry, girlie, don't think... I'm really... in a-- [cough cough. Oh, that's a lot of blood...] Any shape to be swallowing anything.

[curses quietly in a somewhat guttural language that doesn't seem to suit her]

Try a bit anyways.

[moves the flask to his lips as she's seen this stuff help bring people back from closer to death than he seems to be]

[Those other people probably had stomachs that were... Still attached.]

F-fine...

[He makes a little effort to sit up, propping himself up on an elbow, so he doesn't choke on the stuff, but that forces him to shift his torso in a way that the gaping hole in his belly doesn't appreciate, and he lets out a harsh cry. He lifts his hand from the wound a little to look tentatively at it, but probably shouldn't have as more blood spills out between his fingers.]

[lets out a frustrated sigh and lets out a blast of frost magic, cooling the immediate area. she unravels the bandages and gently presses them to the large wound, the runes on them immediately flaring and starting their work on slowly knitting things back together]

I wanted you to heal a bit before doing that...

[Roxas didn't have much to add to the conversation at the moment - he was trying to keep himself from panicking, so he wouldn't be useless when Kairi asked for his help. For the moment he's just wrapping a hand around one of Axel's arms, glancing at Kairi as she's applying to bandages.]

Is... there something I can do to help...?

In that bag, there's a round bottle with a gold base and neck, with an orange, crystal-like stopper. It's filled with a green-blue, thin liquid. It'd be good for him to take it once he's not about to drown in his own blood.

[switches the bandages quickly as the runes start to fade, the cloth bright red with blood]

Ngh, sorry. I just d-don't think my... lungs would be--[he pauses to shiver, he's not a fan of ice] Able to handle much more fluid in them.

[He glances at Roxas, offering a weak smile, but it disappears quickly. He moves his hand away as Kairi applies the bandages, that hand moving to grab shakily for the one Roxas has around his arm, heedless of the blood it's soaked with. Axel can't afford to care at the moment--he's lost a Hell of a lot of it.]

[yeah well, you run a wound under cold water, don't you?]

Alright, fine. I need you to drink this one though, even if it's in little sip. It's a regeneration potion, it'll help with the blood loss, as well as the injuries.

[uncorks that first green potion, tilting it in the light. it moves like blood. she moves it down to his lips, tipping barely a mouthful in]

[Roxas squeezes Axel's arm lightly when that hand latches onto his own, ignoring the fact that he can feel the blood covering the other's hand seeping into his gloves. He gives Kairi a slow nod at her instructions for him.] Right...

[Digging through that bag with his free hand, Roxas pulls out a few things until he find that bottle with the green-blue liquid she was talking about, and he sets it down next to Axel.]

[Axel nods his acquiescence. Fine, he'll drink that. He carefully swallows that first mouthful, clearing his throat a little afterwards. He needed to cough, but he didn't want to cough the potion back up, or shake up his torso any more than he already had. The more damage he could avoid, the better.]

[continues tipping little mouthfuls into Axel's mouth, making sure to pause every so often so he doesn't choke. she's concentrating solely on her task, not caring about her staining robe. Axel should be feeling things starting to patch up between the regenerative potion and the bandages]

[Axel can indeed feel the healing process, and as many times as he's used potions and the like, he'll never get used to how weird it feels for his body to have its own regeneration process sped up so much. Still, better than bleeding to death. Or the other complications associated with no longer having an attached stomach and whatever other organs Saix may have ripped out with his bare hands. He can't help but wonder how effective those bandages are, though. He may need some rest time.]

[eventually sets the empty flask aside and moves to change the bandages again, smudging blood into her hair as she tucks it back out of her face. that gaping wound? definitely shouldn't be that gaping anymore. she pauses to look between the red potion and the green-blue one, considering for a moment before grabbing for the red one]

This one works faster. The healing happens... very quick. It can be disorientating.

As disorienting as having your stomach ripped out? [he chuckles weakly, and quickly regrets it. Right, Ax, careful with, you know, moving. Even if it's healed quite well so far, there's still plenty of internal damage and bleeding there that... Yeah, just be careful.]

N-no, probably not.

[can't help but smile just a bit, placing the healing potion at Axel's lip and tipping it. this one should cause a definite jump in his healing]

[Roxas looks a bit more relaxed now, since Axel seems to be healing some. He's watching Kairi as she works, but his hand is still clamped around Axel's arm.]

You must have really made Saïx mad...

[He's careful about drinking that potion, but he can at least get it down without choking. He finishes it before answering Roxas.]

W-would you believe that... I really d-didn't? [He winces as a small stab of pain flares up in his belly] He just... I didn't see it coming...

[sighs and leans back, rubbing at her forehead which just smudges more blood, oh well. she wants to wait for the healing potion to finish before making her next suggestion, which should finish up most of the healing. so instead she watches the two for a moment]

He just... lost it again, huh? [Roxas rubs his thumb lightly up and Axel's arm, letting out a small sigh.]

Yeah, though I probably could--

... Have been a bit more careful.

[Talk about a headrush. That potion is definitely working...]

Should wear off soon...

[lightly taps the remaining potion]

When it does, you'll be drinking this. It'll put you in a healing sleep for a short while. Should heal up anything that's left, and take away some of the soreness that's probably going to accompany what's left of your recovery.

[A slight nod.] Okay, but... As much as I like the floor, think I could relocate before I take that one? Somewhere... More comfortable? Less bloody?

Of course, of course...

[looks to Roxas consideringly]

Can you carry him?

[looks between Kairi and Axel] Uh... sort of.

[Roxas is easing Axel up, trying not to cause him much pain. Axel was too tall for the blonde to actually carry, and a bit too heavy, but he could at least get the redhead on his feet with most his weight resting on Roxas. And he could open a portal to their room so they didn't have to walk far.]

C-careful... [Axel warns, wrapping an arm around the blond's shoulders for extra support as he carefully gets to his feet. His coat feels about twenty pounds heavier from all the blood it's soaked in...]

I know... [Roxas takes a few tentative steps, lugging most of Axel's weight around his shoulders before motioning to Kairi and heading through the portal. They are in a room now, where Roxas is lightly sitting Axel down on the bed.]

[gathering her things, she forces herself not to stop and study the portal as it's far different from her own kind. instead she walks briskly through it, looking around the room briefly before setting her bag down near the bed. she pulls the stopper from the green-blue potion and waits]

Alright, you better get comfy because you'll be passing out pretty much as soon as you finish drinking this.

[Axel's careful not to bend too much in the middle as Roxas helps him to the bed, sitting carefully on its edge before swinging his legs up so he can lay down. At Kairi's warning about being comfortable, Axel strips his gloves off and tosses them aside, looking questioningly down at his coat. The chains are unclipped and he unzips it, at least pulling his arms out of the bloodsoaked sleeves and pulling the sticky cloth off from his stomach. He'd have to get up again to get it out from under him, though, and he's not sure he could manage that without ripping something open again.]

All right... [He lays back, head on the pillows. This is much better than the floor.]

[she smiles gently and places the potion at his lips, slowly tipping it back. as gruesome as this has all been, she's seen worse and oddly enough it's reminded her of home, making her expression turn a little wistful. she leans back as the flask empties, sighing softly.]

[Roxas is trying to make Axel more comfortable, fussing over him a bit. He really wishes he could pull that blood soaked cloak off, but.. he doesn't think he could without hurting Axel.

The blonde glances at Kairi, watching her work.] Thanks... if there's anything I can do to repay you....

[Axel drinks the potion, and even as it's going down he can feel the drowsiness settling in. Roxas' fussing makes him smile a little; usually he's the one doing the fussing instead of the blond. When the potion's empty, Axel's very quickly out like a light...]

[puts the empty flask back into her bag, looking back to watch the faint green hum of magic under Axel's skin as the potion does its job. her eyes turn to Roxas and she smiles]

It's fine, I was happy to help.

[she sighs and starts looking through her bag, eventually pulling out two small, black pouches and a few tiny vials of the red potion from before. she tucks the vials into the pouches, something that doesn't seem like it should work, before holding them both out to Roxas]

Here, in case either of you get into another fight. Just tuck the pouches inside your clothing and don't worry about the vials breaking, they're enchanted. Made for carrying into battle and all that.

[gives a small, somewhat strained smile back] Still... if you ever need a favor or something... it would be the least I could do.

[Roxas watches her curiously as she puts those vials into the pouches, blinking when she holds them out to him. He takes them though.]

That's pretty useful... thanks a lot.

Alright... I'll keep that in mind.

[smiles and closes up her bag, standing and brushing some hair from her face]

Do you want me to stick around until he wakes up to make sure he's all healed? He should be fine, but...

[shrugs, still smiling]

No, it's alright... I've got stuff that can heal him if he still needs it.... just nothing good enough to fix what happened...

[nods and dismisses her bag, which vanishes into thin air]

Good luck, then. I'm glad I could help.

[she raises a hand and magic sparks in mid-air, swirling green and blue and purple before forming a portal of some sort, a room barely visible on the other side]

[He has to admit, the magic portal she just summoned is a lot cooler than the portals of darkness he normally sees. But that's besides the point.]

[bows slightly and waves before heading through the portal, which shimmers before closing with a hiss like water on hot metal]
