[someone's sitting in a hallway, back pressed against the wall with his head bowed. his neck is covered in scratches, some ofthem bleeding, some of them not. his knees are pulled up to his chest, forehead pressed against them, one hand cradled in his lap. he's breathing pretty hard, as if he'd just been running, and his shoulders are shaking. looks like someone just narrowly escaped a beating.]

... Are you alright, young man?

[ He holds the Holy Bible in his left hand, the right one being placed upon the boy's shoulder]

[he flinches away at the contact, jerking his head up with wide eyes. huh, not the person he expected. he swallows, bowing his head again]

I--.. I'm fine..

[are those tear stains on his face? why yes they are.]

It would seem your soul is troubled...

Ah, no!

[the minute he sees blood, he's scurrying down the hall to get a wet cloth, raving at himself like a lunatic. of course, while he treats himself like the mother of people here, he often scolds himself when he lets things get out of hand. coming back with that cloth, he collapses beside Roxas, reaching up to tug his chin up while pressing it to the scratches on his neck.]

I'm sorry I didn't come sooner...

[through clenched teeth, almost out of the blue]

I'm not a murderer...

[he pulls his hand closer to his chest]

[he inhales sharply, tensing at first when Sora tilts his head up. he seems like he's about ready to run, bit when he realizes this isn't the person he expected, and that they're helping, not hurting, he relaxes a little, only grimacing every now and again in reaction to the cloth against his neck. he says nothing.]

[well hey, he's all for coddling, so he's trying his best to daintily scoop Roxas into a hug, while still cleaning away any blood and dirt from his cuts. stuffed in the sides of his socks is a roll of medical tape and gauze.]

Wanna tell me what happened..?

[ looks like he's too exhausted and confused to protest, really, and he just kinda..slumps against him a little. he swallows, shaking his head slightly, looking bewildered ]

I don't--I don't even know. I was just taking pictures, and then he-- I'm not a murderer, I didn't kill or hurt anyone.

[waaaay to make a whole lot of sense]

[just sort of kisses the top of his head with reassurance, trying his best not to jostle him while patching him up.]

I'm guessing... someone assumed you were someone else? Or at least like them?

[leaning his head back against the wall, eyes closing]

I told him he-- [quiet hiss] he had the wrong g-guy...But he still wanted to kill me...

[blinks his eyes open, staring at the ceiling as a small realization hits him]

...My camera. I left my camera...

[reaches up to facepalm but--..ow, that hurts with two dislocated fingers]

[once his neck's all patched up, he reaches up and stokes Roxas' cheek softly, chewing on his own lip to stop himself from crying. of course, already being attached to a Roxas that's gone missing, he really does have a soft spot for those that remind him.]

I'll get the camera later. I'm sure nothing's going to happen to it.

[on the other hand, he's looking over the fingers. he's no doctor and he has no anesthetics, so setting the bones back will be a painful process that Roxas has to endure. he utters soft cooing apologies, grabbing the medical tape to bound the fingers together so they can heal straight.]

[he lets his eyes close again, mind flitting back and forth, trying to figure out what the hell just happened back there. he doesn't really notice Sora's touch, but if he did, it would be somewhat appreciated, maybe even a little welcomed.]

D-Don't worry about it...

[he waves his uninjured hand a little, dismissing the idea. it's just a camera. ...even if it did have pictures of all his friends from back home on it. when Sora sets his fingers, he clenches his teeth, trying not to jerk his hand away as he squeezes his eyes shut tighter]

Nngh.

Sorry, sorry...

[and it's over soon enough, Sora's standing and extending his hand.]

Here... let's get you some ice to stop the swelling.

I didn't think you were. I assume that someone has accused you of that?

[hesitates for a moment or two, and then reaches up and takes his hand, pulling himself to his feet. he nods, still somewhat cradling his hand]

Y-Yeah...

Try to keep your hand above your heart.

[just walks him down to the kitchen as calm as possible, mindful of the people around them that pass and glance and wonder. some small bows and turns later, they're in the relatively large kitchen area, and he lets go of Roxas' hand long enough to grab a plastic bag, a damp cloth, and six or seven ice cubes to fill the bag with.]

Sorry it's makeshift, just be careful, okay?

[keep his hand above his heart? ...okay. Roxas won't question why. instead, he just follows silently, avoiding curious glances and questioning eyes by averting his own. when presented with the bag of ice, Roxas takes it gratefully and nods a little]

Yeah...thanks...

You hungry or anything? I can make you something... or show you to your room, or...

[just sort of trails off, feeling awkward now.]

[shakes his head. not very social kid is not very social.]

I'm okay...

[head still in knees, nodding]

Gonna be fine by yourself?

[sort of turning to walk away now.]

No one will judge you without proof here. Not in my presence.

[djfhg oh god what if that guys comes back for round two!?]

U-Uh..!

[he fidgets a little]

[lifts his head, somewhat bitter]

...Looks like that did a lot of good.

[looking away now.]

[now he's laughing.]

I'll stay with you if you want. Maybe Riku'll com stay, too.
