[there's a very sloppy looking pair of headphones on his ears, feeding him some much needed music as he moves his paintbrush to and fro. when he finally pulls it away, there's a tiny kitten laying down in front of him.]

[he sighs, picks it up, and lays back on a pillow.]

I think I'll name you Demyx..

[hi there, Sora.]

Missing him, I see.

[he sighs.]

I miss everyone. Even Xemn--okay. Maybe not him. But Demyx and Riku aren't here, and it gets lonely without them.

[disregards the Sora for now, looking for a place to hide.]

[but he's already caught you, and he rolls over onto his stomach, snoozing kitten placed beside him.]

What are you doing?

There are other Demyxes and Rikus.

[he really does feel bad, and it shows on his face--he has Sora with him, he has Axel, Riku, Kairi, the god-Sora... and Sora only has him.]

[there's the faint sound of someone counting in the distance.]

Seven... six...

[yeah, he definitely skipped a few numbers there.]

[glances warily back to the voice, and flails his hands a little.]

I need a hiding spot, big-Sora.

They all have their own Soras, or people from their world.

[he bits his lip, eyebrows furrowing even more at the look on Roxas' face.]

I'm so glad you're here, though.

[someone's opening his arms for a hug.]

[with a few flicks of his paintbrush, there's a solid, three-walled box just big enough for a kid to squeeze in. don't worry, he won't suffocate.]

I'll put the other wall on when you get in.

[... staring in awe, kthx.]

[he gladly scrambles into it, laying his head on Roxas' shoulder and wrapping his arms around his waist.]

Five... four...

[he's already starting off in the direction he saw Roxas going for.]

[--sgshjd scrambling to get in now!]

[and the box is completed. he can hear the counting and pretty much figures what this is for, so he leans against it casually, gazing over at the approaching Axel curiously.]

I'm sorry, Sora.

[he tightens that embrace.]

[he shakes his head firmly.]

It isn't anyone's fault..

I know, but I can still feel how sad you are.

[the last few numbers come out in a rush as Axel spies those all-too-familiar blonde spikes retreating into the box. he's not too keen on having Sora around, but what can you do.]

Ready or not, here I come~

[just curls up quietly in his little box, waiting, waiting ...]

You make me happy, so it's okay.

[thud-thud-thud go his boots as he walks closer.]

Aren't you meant to stay in a fixed position when you count down?

What, of course not. Where did you learn something silly like that?

Alright.

Here...

[he's drawing in the air, a small breeze blowing across them.]
