[leaning against a wall is another Marluxia. one who's obviously post-death, if the petals and wisps of darkness rising from him are any indication. those gradually begin to fade as time passes, his form becoming more solid]

...

Such strength in someone so seemingly insignificant. Were it not for Axel's treachery, I could have -

[his eyes begin to take in his surroundings. this is definitely not that realm of nothingness so feared by every Nobody from Creepers to Xemnas]

One oblivion traded for another, I see...

Oblivion? Hardly.

[watches the flower petals] Ah...

[nervous wave] Hi... I'm Kairi. [takes a few steps forward] You're Marluxia, aren't you? I've heard Namine mention you.

[smiles] Just wondering. Things are really different here, aren't they.

Maybe we could be friends? I'm new around here too.

There would be nothing if it was.

[Bows.]

So welcome, you're going to see a few of yourself and others here.

Oh... That's sad.

Well. If you ever decide to change your mind, you know I'm right here. [smiles] There's a lot of chaos here, I'm sure it'd be nice to know you have someone to rely on.

See you! [waves and runs off]

Forgotten does not equal nothing, neither does being dead which you aren't if you've regained your body. Best kill those thoughts.

This isn't oblivion, but break in the multiverse commonly referred to as The Dressing Room. Many of the same beings from different universes have been brought here: different beings, same soul, generally same appearance.

[Waves hand. Doesn't feel like elaborating.]In a nutshell.

[Looks thoughtful for a minute.]

This place probably likes them.

[identity profile] fleurdemort.livejournal.com 2008-05-19 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
At least they can be entertaining? [Tilts head.]

[identity profile] fleurdemort.livejournal.com 2008-05-19 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[Have one of those looks children give you when they just don't get it.]

Axel began to be fun when he betrayed me...which was really betraying nothing.

[identity profile] fleurdemort.livejournal.com 2008-05-19 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[Nods.]

Exactly.

This was just something a god would do. In truth, that girl was the one who came up with the idea of a rebellion in the first place. She wasn't bored, just wanted to be in charge or whatever it is humans would want with that sort of thing.

[Waves hand again.]

She believed I would really help her because I did once before. But in the end, she was still a human like the rest of them - hearts or not - and her death was just overdue.

[identity profile] fleurdemort.livejournal.com 2008-05-19 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Masquerade? I was sent to those people after I had my heart ripped out as punishment.

[identity profile] fleurdemort.livejournal.com 2008-05-19 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
My heart? It was nearly useless to begin with and it is now.

Not having one wasn't any different from before because I hardly feel emotions. Mother, the Grim Reaper, used my heart as an excuse to let me off easy; she said I fell in love with that girl and that was the reason I revived her -- a crime. Giving up my heart and going into exile was then an equal price.

Really, it's just as Oblivion: I was bored. I hate being bored. I had existed for a thousand years unable to die and doing my job with little to no change. I needed something to happen or my mind would rot away with the rest of the elder gods.
