[this is odd. In the middle of the hall, sprawled out on the floor is a Riku, with several strange creatures on top of him, all wearing the Heartless Emblem. He gives a slight groan, attempting to shift himself, causing all of the creatures to move off of him]

Gah... just what I need. Didn't think there were any pits at that park, but I guess I was wrong. So much for "fair game".

Not really. They just become stronger, more capable, and generally a lot "cooler", I guess. Like Flare here?

He used to be a wimpy Charmander, and once he evolves again, he'll be a Charizard... basically, like a fire dragon. I'm more partial to dark types, but he's rare, and the only one of my parents' Pokemon I could salvage when I left the island.
