I understand how strange this is, but allow me to explain. This world... it's what you could call a crossroads, drawing in those from various realities. Surprisingly enough, there are duplicates of many, including your granddaughter.

In my own world she has matured into a young woman of about twenty by now.

I'm alright, although a little overwhelmed. It's been a few months since I arrived here, and it's quite...unique. Fortunately, my colleagues and Master Ansem are present, which is comforting to a degree. And what about you? Have you been faring well?

It's been a mixed bag, you could say. After the experiments, I ended up losing my heart for about ten years before I finally became whole. I remained the same in appearance over those years, but I slowly deteriorated into a mere shell of my former self. I was even killed, though I was given a second chance at life in a peculiar world known as Vortexx. It was there that I slowly reformed, thanks to Kairi, a woman by the name of Haruko, and several others. Roughly five years have passed, and since then I've lived a relatively happy life. We all have, really.

The experiments led to the destruction of Radiant Garden. What's worse is that I was tricked, manipulated by Xehanort, into trusting him. Had I declined, perhaps all would have been well.

But, truth be told, I wouldn't change my past if I had the choice. I've grown to accept my past mistakes and move on, and my friends have accepted me for who I am. Despite all of my past mistakes, I truly am happy now... It's rather strange, but your granddaughter even ended up teaching me how to live life without relying on research and analysis alone.
