[Good morning DR! And how are you this fine morning? Feeling itchy? Or perhaps your upper lip is just a bit warmer.

 

It seems two things have happened overnight: first, some dusks have paved some hallways with gold bricks and second, every man, woman and child in the DR has sprouted a glorious .

 

Shaving will not save you.]

 

 

[ooc: Direct skin contact with the 'gold' with cause random temporary increases in intellect and occasionally sprouting chest hair in the shape of a continent. You can style you moustache but shaving will just cause the moustache to grow back in an hour or two.
This will last four days, it's up to you whether you want to thread on this post or create your own, thread hopping is encouraged if you're tagging here.]

[Someone might need to trim his, as it's actually quite long and looks more like it belongs on a dwarf. He hasn't decided if it's something to endure or get really, really upset over.]

[Oh it's on now, DR. No one messes with Kira's style and beauty routines and gets away with it. She is utterly prepared for this onslaught, and her upper lip is quite hairless at the moment, if slightly pink.

She's also putting up a glittery hand-written sign. FREE WAXING. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.]

... this will be, like, my good deed for the decade or something.

[He's peering at the sign a little dubiously. His mustache looks like a bushy broom and keeps making him rub at his nose in irritation. He's not familiar with waxing, and is wondering how candles are supposed to help anything.]

[Kira turns after taping up her sign, then immediately cringes when she catches sight of Roxas and his mustache]

Ack!

[While he doesn't say anything, he does raise an eyebrow curiously at her reaction. Then he's wriggling his mustache at her with a smirk.]

[Kira cringes back even more]

Don't do that! Are you here for a free waxing? I did it, and it works pretty good.

[asilencedlife]

[Roxas shrugs. He doesn't realize what a free waxing is, but she has his interest. He looks curious enough at least.]

[daddyhasagun]

Don't worry. I'm a total pro at this. It shouldn't hurt much at all.

[Kira will bustle over to a nearby table and beauty salon-type chair that she has set up]

[Hurt? He slows down on following her, stopping a few feet away. What does she want to do that shouldn't hurt much?]

Okay, you just take a seat, and I'll figure out what kind of wax to use to rip that horrible mustache right off.

[Roxas might wish he's able to scream by the end of this]

[Rip it off? His eyebrows are attempting to climb up into his hair. Roxas shakes his head, suddenly more informed than he wanted to be. He looks as though he thinks she wants to torture him.]

[sorry you and your horrid mustache aren't getting away that easy]

Oh, you boys are all such big babies. It doesn't hurt that much at all. Girls wax all the time. In places you don't even want to think about waxing.

[His eyes are dropping down, down... He looks skeptical about that. Why on earth would anyone...?]

... because no guy likes a girl with hairy legs. And... other parts.

[she knows what you're thinking! And some guys wax too!]

[That was definitely an exaggerated wince. At least she didn't bean him over the head for his thoughts. Then he sneezes. Ugh, the mustache is so itchy... Is he really contemplating this?]

[Roxas is no longer allowed to make that decision as Kira has made it for him; she has bullied him into sitting in the chair -- are those wrist straps on the arms?]

Now let me see... super bushy. I'll have to trim it down a bit first before applying the wax.

[That certainly does seem to be the case, and Roxas looks just a little panicky when those straps fasten themselves around his arms.]

[it's for your own safety! and here comes Kira with a tiny pair of scissors for trimming the 'stache]

Hold still while I do this. Are you going to let me wax your brows too? They're sort of uneven.

Roxas is intimidated either way

[His eyebrows scrunch up as he darts his eyes upward, but his attention is quickly back on the scissors. He's shaking his head no before she can get too close for comfort with them.]

Right. Next time then, maybe.

[One hand will be holding Roxas' head still while the other goes snipsnipsnip with the scissors]

[He's holding very still for this, quickly shutting his eyes so he doesn't have to watch her coming so close to his nose with a dangerously sharp object.]

[They're very small! Not intimidating at all. And soon enough, Kira will be dusting off Roxas' face with a soft towel]

There. That should be good enough for the wax.

[Roxas' face scrunches up at the dusting too, and he sneezes again, blowing bits of hair all over both of them. The mention of wax makes him try to tug against the straps.]

[daddyhasagun]

[Kira doesn't mind and dusts Roxas off a bit more before turning back to her table and picking up a little jar and stirring it with a wooden stick; it looks vaguely like honey and smells somewhat citrusy... also she doesn't notice Roxas' distress at all]

Now I just need to get a thin layer of this on... oh, don't squirm like that.

[After seeing that goop, suddenly having a mustache doesn't seem like such a bad idea after all. He isn't exactly squirming so much as trying to slip his arm out of one of those straps. It isn't working very well, and if she comes too close with that stuff he's going to try to lean away.]

Oh come on! We've already got this far! Don't wuss out now, or I'll wax your legs instead.

[the chair can lean back, you know, and has leg straps]

[He gives her a look as if to say, how is that any better? She's making him blush as soon as he realizes that in order to wax his legs instead, she'd first have to get his pants off of him.]

Now hold still.

[she could always just push his pant legs up over the knee... or cut them with scissors; as it is she'll be holding Roxas' forehead down with one hand and wielding that application stick, which is now dripping with the warm honey-ish waxing stuff]

[Roxas clenches his eyes shut tightly, thinking that maybe if he can't see what she's doing it won't be so bad. He'd never been so afraid of a girl before now, and he's wishing he'd never stopped to see what was going on.]

[daddyhasagun]

[don't let her see your fear Kira carefully applies a very thin layer of wax over Roxas' upper lip, then gently smooths a cloth strip over the wax, fingers stroking it down to make sure it catches everything evenly]

Good. Good. Now take a deep breath.

[asilencedlife]

[It's a little too late to not be showing fear. He can't seem to get in a good, deep breath. He's too busy hyperventilating in dread of what he knows is coming next.]

[Kira holds down Roxas' cheek a bit to pull the skin tight, her other hand grabbing the edge of the cloth strip tightly]

On three. One... two..

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP

[His back arches and his mouth opens in a silent scream as the strip is ripped away. Good job Kira, you just made a boy cry.]

[boys always cry after their first waxing; but Kira is hurrying to apply a soothing lotion that will help minimize the redness too]

There! I just have to tweeze out a few stray hairs, but that went pretty well.

[asilencedlife]

[Roxas looks absolutely miserable, and he's still crying silently. If she comes near him with tweezers she'll need another strap to hold his head down this time, because he doesn't plan to hold still for her again. Ever. He'll kick her if he has to.]

[dabbing away the tears with a tissue; Kira looks a little sorry now and the chair has mysteriously dropped the straps on Roxas' arms now that the procedure is done]

Oh, don't be that way. Your mustache is gone now!

[asilencedlife]

[As soon as he's free, Roxas dodges her and ducks under her arm to break free. He doesn't care if the mustache is gone, not when it's going to come right back in a few hours. He almost stumbles into the table, but then he's taking off running before she gets any more ideas.]

H-hey!

[that was rude! and Kira was just about to give him a hug too]

[Xigbar will kind of just lazily float by, not only wearing her new moustache with pride but having attached a fake goatee to the bottom of it, possibly to mock male Luxords or possibly as an obscure and nerdy reference to something. Probably the first one, given the long list of people to mock today.]
