ITP: Pots

[Here is a room. It is rather random and unassuming, except for the fact that it is filled with pots. And crates. And barrels. And lampposts. And strange white flower things. Basically, if you can smash it up, it's in this room.

Kira is perched on a convenient crate and giving herself a manicure. Occasionally, she'll look up and mutter 'Gravity', which smashes some nearby pots, before going back to filing her nails. Perhaps someone should question her training methods.]

[Will she notice when a little Riku wanders into the room to stare at the destruction? He looks as if he isn't sure if this is cool or if she's going to get in trouble for breaking things.]

[Kira has very highly attuned Tiny Child senses! She'll look up from her nails, stopping herself from spitting out another magic spell]

Oh! Hi there, little Riku~

[He'll start picking his way over the debris toward her then, obviously recognizing her.]

Are you gonna get in trouble?

[What if an Aero spell hits the crate she's sitting on?]

In trouble for what, little Riku?

[he'll get a bright smile, and Kira will clear away any dangerous manicure products from where tiny hands can get to them]

[Kira gives a little yelp, trying to hide her bright pink nail file behind her back]

Aah! Well! Why do one thing when you can do two? Right?

[daddyhasagun]

[1) Kira will shriek in surprise as she's unseated, 2) she'll fling that metal nail file in Aden's direction on pure instinct, 3) the nail file is coated in a Thunder spell]

[He gives her a smile.]

That's often the case. But are you doing them both as well as you could be?

Well... I still haven't decided what color to use on my nails yet.

[because that's more important right?]

[Oh, Kira. He shakes his head.]

I can't say your priorities are surprising me here.

[daddyhasagun]

[he should be used to this by now]

But it's a really important decision! I don't know if I want to do a bold, eyecatching color, or maybe something more subtle that will coordinate with most of my wardrobe.

Now, I'm not an expert, but it seems to me it'd be easier to decide if you weren't - what were you doing, anyway? I heard spells being cast.

[ha she almost got you into a fashion discussion!]

Hmph. Rikka says I should train more. I dunno why. And I know my parents think I should too, but they don't actually train me the way Daddy trains Rikka and his students.

[Nice try...]

I'd suspect they want to know you can take care of yourself.

[she'll do it some day]

But I can! I even watch over all the babies-- well, they're all toddlers now, which it makes it harder to catch them.

[A chuckle at that, but then he straightens up-]

Perhaps. But family are always going to worry. It's part of why they're there.

[His cackling is abruptly cut short by a yelp, but Aden doesn't seem to care. He comes stumbling out from behind a barrel, and do you want to be horrified, Kira? Yes? He's in a skirt. A terrible, fluffy thing in pastels, with striped stockings and a t-shirt of his own that doesn't go with any of it. It looks like a closet vomited him up.]

[once Kira catches sight of Aden, she lets out the most heart-stopping scream he has ever heard from her; it's like she's being murdered]

I know. But I don't know what training has to do with it.

[sulky teenager is a go]

[He has less sympathy for her than he would if he hadn't been electrocuted, but he does roll behind another barrel and hold his hands up.]

I was going to break this to you gently!

[daddyhasagun]

[she didn't mean to electrocute him! and Kira will be stumbling her way towards Aden and bawling like it's the end of the world]

W-who did this to you, Aden?! Who'd do such a horrible thing?!

[He scoots along the barrel to try and stay out of her view lest he break her permanently.]

The DR, who else?

Perhaps they want to make sure that what talents you have aren't going unused, too: they'd want you to be the best you can be, I'm sure.

What did you do to make the DR this angry?!

[Kira might start bleeding from the eyes ;;]
