[There’s a transparent Riku roaming the halls today, taking in the sights and looking a little baffled (as all new arrivals do). Though his feet touch the ground, it almost looks like they should sink right through. He doesn’t just look transparent either- though bad luck to the person who walks into- through, rather- him; they’re in for a cold shock. Oddly, considering his appearance, he’s nowhere near the dressing room’s version of Halloween Town.]

[Hey there, Riku. Have a Roxas poking a finger into your back.]

[Have an ice-cold finger then, Roxas.]

...Do you mind?

[He pulls his hand back pretty quickly, shaking it out a bit to try to get rid of that sensation before stuffing his hand under his armpit for warmth. As for Riku, he just shrugs at him. No, he doesn't mind.]

[Once he actually takes the time to register who is poking him in the back, the confusion doubles.]

...Roxas?

[If Riku can feel Hearts like this, he's in for a shock of his own. If not, that grin is sure to look familiar. He likes having startled a Riku.]

[He has a harder time sensing things like that in this form, but the fact that Roxas is here at all is more than a bit weird. Shouldn't you be with Sora, young man?]

How are you... here?

[Another shrug, and then Roxas is giving Riku a pointed look, as well as a vague gesture. How are you here, Riku? And really, what the hell happened to you?]

[He blinks a couple times before answering. You mean it isn't obvious why I'm casper right now?]

I just came from Halloween Town. To... wherever this is. Do you know?

[He thought Riku was dead, actually. Roxas is giving him that so-so hand gesture now. He knows what the place is called and what other people have told him, but he still has trouble wrapping his head around it sometimes.]

[Hi Riku have a door slamming open through your face.]

[Riku raises his eyebrows in a way that says "...well?" I know you speak in elipses, but this is just ridiculous.]

[WOW, RUDE. He is rightfully startled by that!]

[You think you're startled? She just opened a door on a person! ... Through a person.]

Sorry.

[Just because doors can go through me doesn't mean I can't feel it :'(]

...Who are you supposed to be?

[I bet you haven't gotten tired of hearing that from new Rikus or anything.]

[Totally not. She looks a little surprised by his appearance, but it's not because of his... er, physical features. The raises an eyebrow at the question.]

I'm me. Or you, from another world.

Uh huh.

[Don't mind the skeptical look.]

Last I checked, there's only one me.

[Roxas looks a little like he's bit into something sour when it dawns on him that he has no idea how to describe this place. Not in a way that Riku would understand. Get ready for some fast sign-language, Riku. Some of it is what he remembered from Sora, the rest had been made up between him and the other Organization members. He just described what he knows of this place inside of a minute.]

And your replica?

[If he's not that kind of Riku she doesn't really care, but she's tossing it there anyway.]

He's... not around anymore.

[Which is not a thing he likes to remember, but.]

Moreover, he wasn't a girl.

Mine was.

[Yeah, she feels about the same way. She's not sure she likes that emphasis on "girl".]

My Sora's a girl too.

What, next are you going to tell me your Kairi is a guy?

[A-ha, a-ha, what a ridiculous idea that is in no way true.]

[Sign-language. Right, okay, that is definitely not something he was expecting, nor understands in the slightest. And the best he can come up with is-]

[lol. She shifts her weight.]

And then we have Nami. Also a guy. The opposite of the majority of Organization XIII, DiZ, and Ansem.

[His face reads as... weirded out, but believing. Up until the mention of that last one, where it turns to a more grossed out look.]

So there just happens to be... what, parallel worlds where everyone is the opposite gender?

And here I was starting to think I'd seen just about everything.

[She's not offended. The male Ansems freak her out more than the female.]

Basically. If it makes you feel any better, male Rikus seem to show up more.

[Obviously there is more to it than alternate worlds based on sex and gender.]

...Rikus, plural?

[You mean there's more than just the two of us?]

Don't ask me how many there are. I lost count a couple years ago.

[Yep.]

[Exactly why Roxas doesn't usually bother! Not many people do understand, so he usually tries to keep it simple. It would be easier if he could ever find things to write with. For now, Roxas is settling with a look that even Riku should clue in. It says you can't be this dense, man. Does he have to start miming a certain mermaid?]
