[ Woof, DR. Serein here is wobbling walking down the hall, tail wagging, looking mighty plump. Particularly around the middle. It's kind of round. Really round. But not as round as she's going to get!

Oh, and Riku's there, too. They're heading to Kai's house. ]

[Sure she does! She's not on a leash or a harness or anything, so she makes her way toward him calmly, tail wagging more. Riku just looks tired.]

[He'll kneel down to pet her when she gets close enough. Y so tired, Riku?]

[If he keeps it up she'll take a seat right where she is. Riku looks conflicted on how to answer.]

I thought she might be.

[Or fat. But he's not going to come out and say that the dog looks fat.]

Worried about her or the puppies?

[She makes a face when he says that first part. Serein appreciates not being called fat.]

Both! I don't know how to deliver puppies.

[Serein says hi too, stopping where she is and looking over like she wants to rush over and pounce her.]

I can't help you there. She'll probably be fine, though.

[Kira squeals happily and will give Serein a big hug instead and ruffle her ears and such]

Maybe because Apricot got her pregnant.

Probably. I'm going to swing by the library on the way home and pick up a dozen or so books.

[How to help assist in dog birth. Is there anything she can do? She's not exactly a vet.]

It does if Apricot turned into a dog a month ago and me and Kai witnessed it.

What do you mean? She'll take care of herself when she's ready. You just have to watch out where she builds her nest.

[Neither is he, and the most experience he's had with puppies was seeing a litter of couple-week old ones when he was a little kid.]

[Yeah, she's seen puppies, but not that young, and she never had a dog as a child.]

[Kira will kneel down besides Serein and coax her to lay on her side, so Kira can feel her belly carefully]

I think she should be. But she shouldn't be running around or getting too excited. Like I said, you have to watch out where Serein builds her nest for having the puppies in. When she does, she'll be really close to having the puppies, and she'll snap at you if you get near her or try to move the nest.
