[ with a little squeal of terror, a Kairi is climbing out from under one of the benches in the park. The squeal, high-pitched and startled, is caused by the spider web now stretched across her hair. She spends a moment peeling it off of her head before scrambling out of the way and rolling into a light run, but it doesn't take long before she comes to an abrupt stop, staring up at the trees and decorations. ]

Wh-- Huh?

[She's dressed in light clothes, pale lavenders, pinks, and whites, with a long, silvery veil hanging down her back. ]

Is this real?

[There's an evil witch - or rather, a still-female Red still in full costume - speaking from nearby. His face is of course completely covered!]

What's this? Some poor little girl, all on her lonesome in such a dangerous place?

[her head whips around to stare in his direction, and she looks more surprised than afraid. Then she laughs.]

Is that what it looks like?

This world does tend to change for the holidays.

['sup? This be an Ienzo, watching curiously.]

[she looks up when she hears him, eyes widened to nearly double their normal size.]

Ienzo?

[...Strange. Still, he nods.]

Correct.

[She stares at him for a few seconds, then abruptly looks like she's going to cry.]

Ah...

[Oh dear, this... can't be good. Frowning, Ienzo tentatively steps closer to her.]

Are you alright?

[she nods and reaches up to wipe her eyes, then rushes over toward him.]

I'm just really happy to see you.

[He's still a little hesitant, but, if she recognizes him...

Right. He'll head over to her as well.]

You're-- is it...?

[that's right about when her expression starts to crumble again, so she launches herself at him in a hug.]

I missed you so much.

Kairi...

[Oh, poor dear. He'll definitely return the hug-- tightly, at that.]

[not nearly as tight as the hug she's giving him. Now that she knows it's him for sure, she starts rambling, still on the verge of tears.]

I went home, Radiant Garden home, and it wouldn't let me come back, but I was still older than when I left. But no one thought it was weird and it was like I'd been there the whole time. Then I tried to tell them what was going to happen and they wouldn't believe me, not even Sir Ansem.

Home...?

[Oh dear. That must be why she's been missing all this time.]

Was everything alright? Before you came here, before your return.

Everything was fine before I went home! But then I went there... and I knew what was supposed to happen. Xehanort figured it out fast, too. I guess he thought it was part of what I am.

Pretty sure it is. Or I've been very confused for ages.

[she jumps a bit when she spots him, then relaxes almost instantly, beaming.]

The dressing room, right?

Mhm. Guess you've been here before.

Mmhm. But I was really little when I came here before. It's been a couple years since I left.

Really little, huh? ... wait. [Pause.] You're that Kairi?

No, not really.

[...Okay, so maybe he's not really in the mood to do the whole fright thing. He wouldn't have been in plain sight if he was.]

It looks like you may be new, however.

Maybe! Unless another little me showed up!

I haven't seen one. [He laughs.] Wow.

[for the best, since she's not scared of him. She's smiling, still, and shaking her head.]

No. Well, sort of. This isn't the first time I've been here.

Then I guess that's me! The one that stayed with Ienzo, right? I remember you.
