[There is a Zexion on a park bench just outside of Radiant Garden. Beside him is probably the biggest scroll you've ever seen, leaning against the side of the bench closest to him. On the other side is a stack of old books and more scrolls, this time of the more familiar variety. He looks for all the world to be dozing off, a fat bag of seed beside him and myriad birds inching their way closer to the handful of bird seed strewn about the ground in front him. Perhaps they too can sense the unsettling aura he gives off.]

[Those scrolls have caught the attention of a Riku, who was walking by, but has decided to take a detour to check out Zexion's stuff. After all, he's sleeping, right?]

[Oh sure, of course he is. It's perfectly okay to look, at least.]

[Good, then he's going to do that, hoping that unlike the paperwork and scrolls he's used to, they aren't written in Japanese.]

[Some of them are! There's a couple in English, one in Latin and three in Sanskrit. The biggest scroll Riku won't even be able to do more than look at the binding.]

[He's looking at the small scrolls at the moment. And failing to read them at all, yey. He sets one down absently on the pile of books while he looks at another one, not bothering to balance it properly.

Which causes it to roll off the books and onto the ground, scattering the birds down there. Oops.]

[Zexion doesn't move. Actually, he hasn't moved much at all since Riku came over. There's a definite air of foreboding around them though, and the only birds still hanging around are ravens. These are ruffling their feathers at him, and one gives an angry call before attempting to bite into his foot.]

[And he will kick at that bird. No pecking, bad raven.]

Go away, you'll wake him up.

[When Riku looks back from the raven, he'll find himself eye to eye with Zexion himself. He has one foot placed to either side of his books and scrolls on the bench, and is sitting on the back of it so he can lean forward into Riku's personal space.]

Wake who up?

[Riku's first reaction is to punch Zexion in the face, but he has a feeling that's not the best idea. Aside from that, he jumps, taking a step back. Don't do that, only his uncle is allowed to do that to him.]

...Not you, obviously.

[He tosses the scroll he was holding back towards the bench. He's not even going to bother denying messing with anything.]

Feeling a little curious?

[Zexion doesn't move to get up, only lowering his elbows to his knees so he can comfortably cross one wrist over the other.]

I was, but I didn't find anything that really interests me. What's with the giant scroll?

[He would've gotten to that one next if Zexion hadn't woken up.]

[He would have experienced life as a bug caught in a zapper if he'd so much as touched the thing.]

Why should I tell you?

[Well, that's a very good incentive not to touch it. Not that Riku actually knows that.]

Because I asked?

[That gets a slow smile from Zexion. Is the boy really that naive?]

You're going to have to offer me something in exchange if you want me to tell you anything.

[No, he just doesn't know Zexion at all yet and wanted to see if that would actually work. Obviously not.]

Something like what?

This scroll is very important to me. Obviously anything you offer me should be important as well.

[How familiar is Riku in exchanging information? Depending on how good it is, Zexion might even tell him the truth.]

Dunno what I could offer you. I've barely been here two weeks, so I don't even have a place to stay.
