[ That is definitely some kind of gigantic mutant fish on the beach. It is definitely dead, too, and that is definitely Aden crawling out of it's mouth. The question is, do you want to know why? ]

[no, she doesn't want to know (yes she does), but it's almost enough to make her turn right around and go back up the hill to the residential area. she doesn't do that, though, and instead folds her arms across her chest and stands there to wait for him to notice her. this'll be the first time he's seen her since the everything spell, even though she didn't really mean to avoid him for a whole month. she just lost track of time. :( but that makes things even more awkward.]

[It'll be a minute before he's noticed her, what with being distracted by dead giant fish smell and also being soaked to the bone. At least he's not wearing one of the heavy coats he tends to store shit in when he really goes out, but he's still soaked. He does notice her after a few minutes, though, and when he looks over he's grinning and waving.]

You are honestly the single weirdest person I know. Did you mean for that thing to eat you?

[the grinning and waving is reassuring, and makes her smile a tiny bit.]

...no, actually! That was completely unintentional. Pretty nasty trip, too. I was in there for a few hours, at least.

...so weird. What'd you do, fall off a boat into its mouth? I can't imagine you actually swimming anywhere.

Took a boat out to see if I could find a place, yeah. But I saw that big fucker swimming around near the surface and...

[He shrugs, rolling one shoulder around like he injured it. Also he probably smells like fish guts.]

Wanted to see if it was natural, mutant, or some kind of new enemy.
