I th-thought this stuff would be f-f-fun.

[ says the Kairi currently curled in on herself in a doorway, a great big ball of tentacles wrapped together. It's not helping any, but that might be because she's still only wearing a tanktop. She's not fit for cold weather! She'll have to find someone to help keep her warm until this is over. ]

W-who's there?

[He's pretty cold too, though he has seen snow before and has managed to find a blue bathrobe. He thinks its a long, furry-looking coat. He wasn't expecting to find... whatever this is when he turned a corner.]

[That... is a bunch of tentacles there. Sounds like it's complaining about the cold - in a girl's voice, too. She sounds vaguely familiar, but he can't quite place it, so Nocturne's going to be cautious approaching it.

Right now he's mostly thinking "what's something like this doing out of the water?"]

Might actually be warmer in the water, if you can get there...

[She stretches herself out a little to look over at him, interested and curious.]

I am, of course.

[He... really isn't sure what to make of what he's looking at. Clearly that's all her, but what is she?]

Did you g-get hit by a spell?

[She's using some of them like a hood when she uncurls enough to look at him, practically pouting.]

The water's all hard.

[She shakes her head.]

Nope. Why? Is one happening?

You look strange.

[He's keeping a bit of distance, huddled in his bathrobe. It's another layer, but it doesn't seem to be helping as much as he thought it would.]

[And here Riku thought the sudden snow in the middle of the heat was strange--good thing the black coat he still had was good for cold weather. Also, hi there tentacleball.]

Hey...is someone there?

[He approaches it curiously. Didn't it just speak?]

That's kind of rude. Maybe you're the one that looks strange.

[She wouldn't know the difference between what he's wearing and proper winter wear.]

I wasn't trying to be. I just meant you're not what I'm used to seeing, so I thought maybe a spell got you. I don't know there is a big one or not.

[It hasn't occurred to him that maybe the snow is the spell.]

[She's more of a mass of wriggling tentacles. She's trying to keep warm with friction~ What? It's the only way she knows how. Her face isn't all that hidden, though. He should be able to see her hair at least, before she looks up at him.]

Oh. Well, it's okay. I know I'm not normal.

[It doesn't bother her in the least.]

Iced over, huh? Sorry.

[He relaxes slightly - that isn't a face he was expecting to be on the other end of those tentacles, but if she's like the other Kairis he... well, he's really more aware of them than he's friends with them... if she's much like other Kairis she's probably fairly safe.]

[She's certainly friendly. ♥ What are his thoughts on mermaids? She might as well be a type of one, considering she looks human from the waist up. Except for her arms, which also turn into tentacles at the elbows down, of course.]

Yeah. But it's okay. I don't go in there very often anyway.

Do I look strange to you too then?

[His curiosity has him moving a little closer. Roxas is pretty sure none of his teachings ever mentioned someone like her, or if they did, he doesn't remember. She doesn't seem dangerous, at any rate.]

No.

[Psh. She's not dangerous. ♥]

[He can see her properly now, yes. And can also see what she's wearing--or not wearing.]

...Aren't you cold?

Oh. What's your n-name?

[He's trying to keep his teeth from chattering, and wondering if she feels the cold as much as he does. It seems to him that she should be colder, seeing as he has more clothing on.]

I'm freezing!

[That was a stupid question, she thinks. Also hey, she can't wear pants. And why would she wear a skirt? Nothing but tentacles down there!]

People call me Kairi. What's yours?

[She's positively freezing, shoulders shaking from the cold. Her tentacles are moving at a constant rate, rubbing themselves together.]

[He's pretty okay with mermaids. Water, singing, works out great - though he has issues with their taste in music sometimes.]

Huh, really? I'd have expected you'd spend more time underwater with a body like that. I guess they probably didn't bother to put houses down there, though.

[At least she's not a siren. Not really.]

I love the water! But I have to breath air. I can hold my breath for a long time, though.

[Yeah, well. Tentacle monsters, how do they work?]

Do you want to borrow my coat? It won't cover most of you, but it might help out.

[He's got at least one spare, and he's got gloves and long sleeves under the coat.]

Huh, really? I figured you were like one of those octopus people in Atlantica. My mistake.

Anyway, uh. Maybe more clothes would help with the cold thing. [He isn't sure they'll do much for her tentacles, but at least something more than just a tank top should do something.]

R-roxa-ow!

[He's been watching them, up until he managed to bite his tongue. Now he has a hand over his mouth and his eyes are watering.]
