[this time of the year, leprechauns and pots of gold, fairies and their tales are on people's minds. one not as often thought of is the fleeting will o' the wisp, that mysterious faint light seen just from the corner of the eye.

it's evening, just after sunset when one such faintly glowing light can be seen. only briefly of course, and just when you think it's your imagination you see it again but a little further away.

do you follow it?]

[while he cannot claim to be as curious as most people would feel, he does feel some spark of it and finds himself following it, having nothing else to do at this time of day. or night, whichever.]

[Well someone was originally on her way to the Grid room to see the entire city was in the room, not just the lightcycle grid and the disc arena, but this caught her attention so she's following it now.]

Weird...

[it'll wink in and out of sight, almost close enough to tell what it is but still too far away to reach. it seems to be heading toward an outdoor room.]

[it definitely is not heading toward the grid room. there mysteriously doesn't seem to be any people at all down the halls it's heading, always just a fleeting glimpse before it turns down a corner.]

[he'll continue to follow it, pausing for a moment when he sees where it's heading. he's dressed well enough for an outdoor room, but he wonders just where this thing is going.]

[it is definitely night time in the room, which makes it easier to see the greenish light as it slowly makes its way toward what would surely be a cheerful-looking forest in the daytime.]

[Desi keeps following it, wondering where it's headed.]

Where are you headed....?

[hopefully she doesn't expect an answer. it does briefly glow a little brighter in reaction to the sound of her voice, before darting further up ahead again. will she still follow when the floor of the halls seem to grow more dusty with disuse?]

[Oh heck yes, darn her curiosity. She's also been practicing her martial arts more since the last time she was down this way so she may be able to defend herself better.]

[he's not at all wary right now, even if he should be. this isn't like the powers of anyone in the Organization, who would be the only people he'd really fear.]

[alas, there doesn't seem any reason to use martial arts here. but what will she do when the halls are no longer lighted? will she still keep following that flicker of green light?]

[She swallows but keeps going, making a mental note to get the hell out of there if it gets bad.]

[ fuck yeah he does, come on, it's green. He'll follow it FOREVER if he has to-- no actually curiosity always kills cats, truefax with Hayner, hence why he is yes, indeed, following the light curiously. Scratching his head here and there from prolonged beanie usage. ]

[it certainly isn't an Organization member. the room will feel a little muggy when he goes into it, with the rising sound of cicadas and crickets singing.]

[if she can stay close enough, the glow alone will be enough to light the way. there's something glimmering in the darkness up ahead, light reflecting off bits of metal from ground-level. could that be a chest?]

[oh you and your pink hair. I mean what. no, the little green light will not be mocking him for his style. it will be leading him slowly toward an outdoor room where the sun has already set and the sound of crickets is loud.]

[ derp, Hayner will be following it stupidly, because he clearly hasn't learned his lesson in.. anything. especially weird looking things-- his eyebrows will raise at the room, but he'll continue to walk! ]

[Desi blinks at that and goes to investigate, staying back a little more than arm's length, just in case.]

[there seems to be an abandoned-looking farmhouse in this room. the little glowing light is slowly bobbing its way in the direction of the barn, easily fitting through the old barb wire fence. don't lose your hat, Hayner.]

[ Oh shit this is going to hurt-- he'll definitely pull it off before.. going through the damn thing, stepping on the bottom one and bending under the middle one so he can get through, though Hayner stupidly snags his shirt-- but.. does not care, just keeps following the damn light, sloppily putting his beanie back on. ]

[it's not a room he has any memory of, even from Kai. he wonders if Kai has been here, and if he'd be at all interested in seeing it. it seems peaceful.]

[it is indeed a chest, but it is locked. she'll need a Keyblade to open it and see what treasure is inside. she'll also need to do it quickly, because that little bit of light is continuing on without her.]

[losing some shirt to the fence is better than losing some skin. who would he find that knew how to give tetanus shots? by the time he gets past the fence, that faint glow of light will already be disappearing around the corner of the barn.]

[peaceful enough, until he's far enough in to notice the bite of an insect at his arm. say hello to the mosquitos, Nami. the light is bobbing into the woods, bright enough to light the way even in the deeper darkness of the trees.]

[he smacks down on that spot on his arm automatically, glancing between it and the light for a moment. he's wondering if it's worth it to follow if there are more bugs around...]
