[Have you ever had one of those days where nothing seems to make sense? Riku here is having one of those. He's definitely been here this whole time, but he's staring at the world around him with the shock and confusion of a newcomer. He's also dressed differently, in nothing but a drafty paper hospital gown, and keeps glancing to the plastic band around his wrist that says in clear print: John Doe, Age Unknown. Destiny Islands Hospital Patient Number 4599207.]

Though uh. it'll probably sound like you have, I guess. My name's Riku.

[He seriously thinks those are fakes. The name doesn't trigger any signs of recognition from him.]

Alright.. Riku. Why will it sound like I have?

[what about when one twitches? he looks Riku over with a frown, then shakes his head.]

Maybe because I'll be talking about doubles of people who look like us and people we know.

[He will stare! Quite incredulously, too.]

I'm really still in the hospital, aren't I. You don't really look like me, it's just my mind trying to give me something familiar...

... Riku? What's with the getup? It's not Halloween.

Sorry, it's not anywhere near that simple.

[The name doesn't register with him. He's too busy staring.]

... Ri. Your boyfriend? One of them, anyway. Did something happen?

*does he need to panic*

[He doesn't seem to be hurt in any way physically.]

.......... okay, this is getting weird. Let's get you back to our room and into some real clothes. Maybe you got hit by a spell. Or got hit in the head. Did you get hit in the head?

I don't think I did...? Why won't you answer my question?

[He doesn't look ready to follow Ri anywhere, even with the promise of clothes. There's nothing to identify him that he'd normally have; even the mithril ring he normally wears has been replaced by a band of bare, pale skin.]

*sighs*

Actually, you have two boyfriends, you're pretty gay, and I look like you because we're... cousins.

My regular ones got turned into chinchilla ears ages ago because of a spell and never changed back, even though the spells here are supposed to be temporary.

Cousins. Am I cheating on someone, too? How can I have two boyfriends?

[He's still pretty dubious, but seems to be calming down a little.]

You know, I'm starting to think it may be better if I just went back to my room...

[The hospital room, he means. He keeps glancing at Riku's hands as if he's expecting there to be a wristband there too, possibly even a straitjacket that will suddenly appear.]

[raises an eyebrow and goes to your side]

Riku?

[she's standing directly behind him, pink in the face because, well, nice butt, riku.]

The Dressing Room.

No, you're not cheating. It's actually the three of us in a relationship. You, me, and Sora.

Sora... He doesn't look like me too, does he? Is he another cousin?

[he looks like he's really hoping it's not a sibling of either one of them. they look like first cousins as it is already.]

[He doesn't react until Sora's closer, then he turns to look behind himself before looking back at him blankly.]

Are you talking to me?

[He whirls around at the sound of her voice, a hand going to the back of the gown to gather it closed over the more pertinent area. His face goes scarlet when he sees her own blush, knowing what she saw.]

Where did you come from? I just came from that way and didn't see you.

No. He's not related at all, though you've been best friends with him since you were babies. He's got brown hair and blue eyes and is sorta short.
