If a rabbit could look baffled, this one would, sitting on the floor by the table for the time being. That is, until she goes looking for some assistance to reverse this chain of events.]

[He kneels down, carefully picking the bun up.]

[while you're looking baffled, there's a Riku passing by with a long white cane sweeping a controlled arc in front of him. he isn't stopping in the kitchen, however.]

[are you trying to give him a heart-attack? he isn't bending down, he's stumbling backward in surprise after feeling something at his leg. it didn't hurt though, and after a couple seconds it registers that it had been something furry. ...he's slooowly running that cane in front of himself again, preferring to investigate with it first before offering his hand.]

[She just stills, waiting for him to poke and prod with the cane. Gently, she hopes.]

[if she's being still, she'll only feel the cane gently run up against her side. he'll pause, waiting to see if the 'object' moves and if it doesn't, he'll use the cane to run lightly up her side, over, and down to the other. only then will he drop to one knee to reach out, ready to snatch his hand away if it isn't what he thinks it is.]

[She stays as still as possible, trying not to startle him. Strange that the tiny rabbit is worried about scaring the larger-than-her human, but... well. Once he reaches out, she'll gently nudge at his hand with her nose.]

[that was a very manly sound he made, Kairi. just so you know. it looks like he's straining to see, his brow furrowed as he tries to figure this out. he's very quickly discovered it's a small animal, but what kind would paw his leg, then not move when he ran his cane over them? his hand slowly returns from where he'd snatched it back, his fingers seeking out the size of her; it's the ears that really give it away.]

[She's pleased that he's figured that much out, and it gives her hope that maybe she can explain the rest of her situation even in this state. Any time his hand comes close, she tries to rub against it. Not that Riku would necessarily know the average body temperature of a rabbit, but she certainly seems cool to the touch.]

[he's never heard of a rabbit doing something like that to a human before, though. he's going to set the cane down beside them and reach out to try to scoop the rabbit up if it'll let him.]
