(no subject)

[ Like previous winters, the ballroom has been decorated for a grand occasion. However, it's a little early for Christmas, and the cool chill flowing out of the room is unlike past years. There's a much smaller, modest set-up organized in there today, and it almost looks like a chapel. Two short rows of silver benches lead up to a wide podium with a large arch that looks like it was carved and carefully sculpted out of pure ice. The ice has frosted over on the surface in an intricate design, giving it a soft, delicate look. There, Kingdom Hearts stands in her glory, dressed in a pale blue laced dress. She stands with her hands clasped, beyond the archway and just a foot behind Axel, who stands beneath it as he waits. He's decked out in a classic suit, looking stiff with tension and much less patient than her. (And understandably so.)

Light, instrumental music flows at a quiet volume, composed mostly of violin; the precursor to the wedding march. The ceiling provides the true atmosphere, an enchanted roof displaying perfect, slightly overcast weather with white clouds of a light snow. Small snowflakes dance through the air and melt out of existence entirely just above their heads.

The children, and only other members of the wedding party (aside from Sora), can be found waiting and possibly fidgeting with impatience, the flower girl dressed in a silver gown, the ring bearer in a charming white suit with a powder blue cummerbund and bow tie.

There is a large doorway (though not quite as large as the main entrance) connecting the ballroom with a much smaller area. The area that will be used for the reception, to be exact. Its decorations are just as lovely, but guests won't be able to see them just yet. ]

[ ooc: It will be assumed that the guests (aka your characters) have already arrived so we can get this party started. Each of the invited characters are/were allowed to bring one guest of their own choosing; the wedding is restricted to those people only, please. However, the reception will be open for anyone to come in and mingle, so I'll post a link in the post once the ceremony's done. :D

[Sora is as nervous as Axel is tense, pacing the hall outside the ballroom in a white tuxedo (http://www.fabiancouture.com/images/500_formal/VIRGO_WHITE.jpg) with a vest (http://www.buy4lesstuxedo.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=CLASSIC_HERRINGBONE_IN_DESERT_BLUE) that's a close match to the flower girl's dress. he jumps when he hears the music start; his cue that he should be going inside. his throat is tight as he swallows, then takes a deep breath to to try to calm down.

he's missing his family as he slips inside the doorway, his father especially. there's no one but Sora and the children at this end, but as soon as he looks through the arch of ice and sees Axel waiting for him, his eyes can go nowhere else.]

[Kairi probably needed a tap to get going, because no amount of rehearsal sets her up for her cue, but she knows exactly what to do once she gets going. After adjusting the frosted flower buds in her hair, she starts heading down the aisle, scattering silver petals behind her.]

[ Maybe it's a red head thing, because Axel thinks that no amount of rehearsal could have helped him either. He immedeatly stiffens when the music starts playing, his silver-y green eyes going directly to where his soon to be husband is beginning his walk from. Hey, he actually manages to change his expression from insanely tense to soft and compassionate, something rare for his type of person.

KH also smiles softly as she awaits the cute party to make their way down the isle. ]

[it takes a flower petal in his view to grab his attention from where he's fighting with his bowtie, but when he sees Kairi already moving up the aisle he's quick to run up behind her, a pillow with a set of matching rings tied to it bouncing along the way.]

Hey Kairi, you dropped your flowers!

[he bites his lip at the whisper, breaking into a more relaxed grin as he watches the two of them head up the aisle before him. just like that, most of Sora's anxiety is gone like a bubble popping.]

[Kairi looks back at him with wide-eyes, and reaches to take his hand in a big sister type of way as she whispers back. So he won't run again.]

It's okay, I'm s'posed to!

[ At least Axel turned his reaction to the little scene from wanting to bang his head againsted the ice to his idiot grin that normally stays on his face. If Sora meets his eyes, his life mate will more than likely recieve a wink. Dammit, can't this ceremony go any faster-- ]

[someone must have convinced him Kairi had washed with anti-cootie soap, because he doesn't resist the hand-holding for too long. good thing those rings are tied on, eh?]

[mind games on the person playing the music to make them speed up is cheating, Axel. soon enough they'll reach the end of the aisle, with Sora trying his best not to fidget like the little Riku. he shoots Axel a little grin, responding to the wink.]

[It's a very good thing the rings are tied on. Kairi won't drag him, but she was raised to be very polite, so the guests got a lot of big grins when she sped up the petal-dropping process. She thinks they need a lot more scattered at the archway, though, so Axel had better watch his toes.]

[ He will definitely watch out for those petals! Once everyone moves to get in their specific places, and he sees that his life mate is done walking, Axel moves a few steps to stand directly next to him, moving his head to give Sora one last smile. ]

[ KH will offer smiles to everyone, also waiting until everything is in place. ]

[he'll wander over where Kairi is, looking interestedly into her basket to see if there's any flower left. if there are, he'll slip a hand in to help scatter two or three by KH too.]

[Axel won't be by him by even a full minute before Sora's hand reaches out to take one of Axel's, echoing the smile with a happy one of his own.]

[Kira is wearing a pale blue dress (http://www.dressesforus.com/images/detailed/4/80301-a.jpg) to match the wedding theme, twisting a delicately embroidered lace handkerchief in her hands as she sits on a bench. Weddings are so romantic and she doesn't want to bawl over it.]

[Kairi will totally share her petals with Riku, for the record. The place is going to end up covered.]

[ Axel will squeeze Sora's hand once, before the music cuts off, starting the actual ceremony. ]

[ KH takes a breath, and begins her part, all by memory. ]

Dearly beloved, we are gathered in this room tonight to witness the ceremony in which Sora and Axel will commit their everlasting love and time to being a married couple.

As Sora and Axel present their vows today, we have the pleasure of being in the company of such a strong and loving bond. We hope that their marriage brings them both joy, contentment and everything that should be in a well and happy relationship. We wish that both life and the enviorment they live in will be kind to them, just as we hope this bond is never broken by outward causes. Just as the years will grow, the love you both share will increase with each passing minute. Each day will harbor new memories to be caught, new laughs to share, and new reasons to love.

The vows they will now exchange represents both the love and the bond they already share, the foundation for that which is to come. With these vows, they will begin to learn to accept each other, if not already, for who each person is. To accept both their strong points and their weak points, their shared likes and dislikes, and the ones they don't share. These vows will express their abilitiy to truly love each other, respect and treat each other with the upmost affection and adoration.

[Namine's sitting next to you, also wearing a pale blue dress. [even with tinyku's antics (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95-6Q-MqMZE) of a bored four-year-old halfway through KH's speech, Sora can't take his eyes off of Axel. he's a bundle of happiness and nerves, so much that he finds it hard to concentrate on anyone else.]

[That's okay, Kairi's taking it upon herself as a personal duty to keep Riku in line, and will be whispering to him periodically to try and get him to be still.]

[ Yeeeah, the kids are getting no attention from this guy, because he's completely in the moment. He turns slightly, his eyes seeking down to Sora's just before he begins his own little speech, his voice very soft, would be a whisper if he wasn't, well, an Axel. ]

Sora, I love you. I have loved you since I first saw you, even if I didn't.. react well. Every night I lay in my bed, thinking of all the things I want to show you, all the things I want to do with you, and hoping that you are tucked away safe in your bed and sleeping peacefully. I have never felt this way about another person in my entire life, and it sometimes scares me when I think about how since this is all new to me, I might mess something up. It endlessly amuses me how you put up with me, something not a lot of people can do. I trust you with my life, and hope to never let myself or anything hurt you or stand in the way of me and you. If that's not enough, my nanos apparently agree that you are the most perfect person in the world, which is all I need.

[she will lean her shoulder against yours, sniffling and dabbing at her eyes frequently as the ceremony goes on]

[Is happy to let you lean. And she has some tissues in her little bag as well if you need them?]

[Sora's eyes grow wider as Axel begins speaking. he hadn't expected Axel to have a speech prepared just for him, and it affects him more than he would have expected if he'd known beforehand. he has a bit of a slow start, but every word of his own is straight from the heart.]

Ever since I met you Axel, it's been as if my world was turned right-side up when I didn't even know it was upside-down. Every day you're the first one I think of, and you're the last thing on my mind when I'm falling asleep. I want to spend every minute with you that I can, because being with you just feels right. There's nothing else I want more than to wake up and find you there beside me, always.
