AAAH!

[everyone has something that they are afraid of, be it something real or something imagined, or only seen in a movie. when entering this room, that thing you are most afraid of will suddenly come to life before your very eyes. it can escape the room if you aren't careful, and it is very much not a hallucination.

anyone happening to look where that scream came from will find Roxas trying to dodge a very angry, fireball-throwing demon that is more than twice his size.]

[Namine heard that scream and immediately poofed into the room, throwing up a dark shield to block any more fireballs that demon has coming.]

You alright?

[he's crouched down on the ground with his arms over his head by the time she gets there, and quite frankly he's too terrified to reply at the moment.

the demon looks even angrier, pulling out a fiery scythe to swing at the dark shield with a roar that shakes the room's foundations]

[What the fuck. She poofs over to his side, keeping a dark shield around them both as she just glares up at the thing.]

Roxas, you're safe. It's not going to get you.

[glaring at it doesn't make it inclined to stop, and Roxas is flinching from every attack it makes. it slowly filters in that those attacks aren't actually hurting him, though when he looks up and sees it still there he looks ready to piddle his pants.]

Namine! Watch out!

[Well how about this- She's just going to put a hand on Roxas's head and poof them out of the way. They're just down the hallway, she wants to make sure that thing isn't going to go off and hurt anyone else, but first she's checking on Roxas.]

[he's frozen, his eyes incredibly wide at the sudden change. he looks ready to faint in three.. two..]

Come on, Roxas, stay with m--

[It's too late, isn't it.]

[it is, but only for a minute or so. you can bet he's going to flail when he remembers what happens though.]

Namine! I! You! There's a demon!

Yes, I know, calm down.

[She's bending down to help him back up.]

Why is it chasing you?

I don't know! I must have done something really, really horrible.

I doubt that... I'm going to go take care of him, you just stay here and keep out of trouble, okay?

Okay... Be careful?

[it'll be gone by the time she gets there, but she might encounter a fear of her own if she takes too long looking for it.]

[Oh she does, alright. After about a minute there's suddenly a beam of bright light blasting Namine back out into the hallway and sending her crashing into the opposing wall. She's quick to scramble up and run over to Roxas, grabbing his wrist and pulling him along.]

Come on!

[she doesn't have to tell him twice to get him scrambling along with her!]

What was that!?

An angel. A really, really, angry arch angel.

[Said angel just screamed "NAMINE" down the hall. Roxas probably recognizes the voice, considering it sounds just like his own.]

[it has him slowing down to stare back behind them, his eyes wide as ever.]

But.. Angels are good things. Why would he be angry?

I'm a devil remember?

[She's neglecting to mention that's also her ex-boyfriend she killed herself over when he died.]

[he nearly trips over his own feet at the reminder, because he had in fact forgotten]

Are you sure? I mean, you're too nice to be a devil!

[She groans and just keeps tugging him along.]

Tell that to him.

M-maybe when he's not so mad.

[he'll try to keep up, but hopefully she remembers he isn't in the habit of training like his lookalikes are.]

That's not going to change.

[Another beam of light gets entirely too close, actually grazing her arm. She hisses in pain, taking Roxas's hand and poofing to another room.]

Someone can't stay mad all the-

[that sudden poofing got a yelp from Roxas. he still isn't used to this hocus-pocus stuff.]

[She's holding him back, keeping him against a wall while she peeks over the corner. Angelxas will be following behind shortly.]

He can when he's not the real one.

How can he not be real?

[he is not above hiding behind a girl in this situation.]

You should know by now that the dressing room likes to use it's magic to mess with us-- the real Roxas I know would forgive me.

If he isn't real, then how did he hurt you?

[Insert tired sigh here.]

No, Roxas, he's real, he's just not the real one. He's made from magic that the dressing room created to make me think he's the real one. But he's not.

Oh...

[he sounds a little disappointed. after all, that's what he thought was a real angel.]

What do we do then? He won't try to hurt other people, will he?

Trust me, you don't want to talk to arch angels like that anyways.

[She shrugs at the latter.]

He's only after me, so no.

But having him after you isn't good either.

Don't worry about me. If I let him kill me, I think he'll disappear. Or if I can manage to get him first.

[She says it as if it's so casual.]

But I don't want him to kill you!

[She looks at him and smiles a bit.]

Don't worry, I'd come back.

[he's still genuinely upset over the thought of her going out there and just letting someone kill her, despite the smile.]

But.. but it's like suicide if you let him kill you!

It wouldn't be the first time...

[he flinches like he's been slapped, his face going pale as he shakes his head in denial.]

Please.. tell me you didn't...

It's a long story.

I don't want to know!

It's fine, Roxas. Come on, maybe if we get far enough away, he'll just disappear instead.

[his hand is shaky when it takes hers, and soon tightens. this time he's the one to drag her off without a word, not looking at her. he doesn't want her to die, and he doesn't want her to get any more ideas of letting herself die. he doesn't even want to think about it.]

[She's not really sure why he cares so much. But she follows along silently, focusing instead on sensing arch angelxas's light.]

[it's a part of him, the idea that suicide is irrevocably bad. he likes her, and doesn't want to believe she could ever have done such a thing.]

[D'aw. Sorry, Roxas, she's pretty stupid like that sometimes 8(]
