[Hello dressing room! You've got a new Sora running around today, and I do mean running around.

He's chasing around a tiny Shadow that made off with some it Should Not have made off with all of five minutes after Sora arrived. Chasing it around with a little wooden sword, and yelling at it to STOP and COME BACK HERE like it's going to listen.

The chase has been going on for at least a half an hour and shows no sign of slowing-- Care to help a little kid out?

And for those inclined to sense Light and Darkness, he's awfully Dark at first glance.]

It's got my ring!!

[ He then catches sight of big Sora's face-- And promptly trips over his feet, doing a majestic 10 point face plant, sword going flying into a wall. ]

*he skids to a stop and picks you up, not concerned with the sword*

[ Staring. Staring. It cannot be emphasized how much Sora is staring. ]

*a new little Sora... fun! he shakes his head and sees that Heartless our of the corner of his eye*

*well he'll try to not run at top speed, and eventually finds the little Shadow at the end of a hallway, throwing a Stop spell at it so it's easier to examine*

*he's pointing to something on the Shadow's claw*

*he smiles and watches the Heartless disappear into a pool of energy before turning around to you*

So. I guess I have to explain why we look the same, huh.

[Sora reattaches the ring to a chain around his neck before looking up suspiciously.]

Yeah! Didya steal it?

[That heartless is really making a run for it with that shiny little ring, isn't it? Then a door swings out in front of it. While the heartless is slowed down for just a moment as it knocks itself up against the wood, it won't be long before it either seeps through or goes around it for the sake of ensuring that ring is taken along with it. Better take a swing while you've got the opportunity, Sora! That is, if you're not too distracted by the little redhead who's peeking out from behind the door with curious eyes to see what's just run into it. She lets out a scream and runs just to the other side of the hallway before turning on her heels to give it a second look. That's one of the sources of the darkness that she'd felt, but what about the other one? She turns her head to look further down the hall as she presses her back up against the wall.

There's a boy. A boy she's never seen before, and a boy from whom the darkness first caught her attention, but now... Now she's getting a distinctly warm feeling in her chest. Kairi's confused, and scared and ohmygod that heartless is still moving.]

[At the time, nothing would distract Sora from bashing the heartless with his sword and taking advantage of the fact he stunned it briefly to yank the ring from it's claw; However, he nearly drops it on the floor when she screams, jumping up and clutching the shiny pale gold ring to his chest.

It's that girl that came to the islands a couple months ago, at least, he's pretty sure it's her. She was friends with Selphie, and he and Riku play with her sometimes.

The heartless is moving alright, but it seeps through the wall and flees before it can get another door to it's face or wood sword thwacked over it's head.

Sora fidgets, wondering if why she seems scared of him.]

You're Kairi, ain'tcha?

[Kairi slips away from the wall now, nodding her head. The boy made the heartless go away, but he took something from it first. She can still sense the darkness in front of her, but that funny feeling in her chest tells her she's safe. Kairi takes a step towards him.]

What's your name?

*he kneels so he doesn't seem intimidating*

In this place... there are a lot of people with the same name, the same face. Even though we're the same on the outside, we're still different.

[He's taking this very well. It's like something from one of his comic books! Wait until Riku sees this!]

D'ya got one of these?

[He holds out a hand to show Sora the shiny silver ring on his middle finger.]

[Sora moves a little closer too, once it seems its okay to do so. It is Kairi, but she can't remember his name? Maybe he hadn't told her it before. He grins.]

I'm Sora!

[She repeats it after him, trying it out. It's as nice a name as his grin which catches up to her quickly enough. She blossoms a smile of her own.]

What's that?

[She's pointing a tiny index finger at the ring being held to his chest. It's clearly something important to him.]

[She looks nicer when she smiles.

But Sora can't help but be nervous when she asks about the ring-- He'd only shown it to Riku since he was asked to look after it. But he thinks he can trust Kairi to see it, so he comes closer, holding his hand out to show the white band.]

It's a ring.

[She takes another step closer and lowers her eyes to scrutinize the ring. There's something strange about it, but she can't put her finger on it. Her eyes turn up to find Sora's face again.]

Did someone special give it to you?

[Both the ring in his hand and the ring on Sora's middle finger mark forces as old as the world-- They're neither Light or Darkness, just there.]

Uh-huh. My sister. Famine.

*he holds his hand very gently and shakes his head, holding out his own hand -- he has two rings on it, but neither look like the silver one on little Sora's finger*

[Because Grandma and she spent so much time in the library, she has a vague idea of what famine actually means, but Kairi is too polite to question his parents' intentions in naming their daughter Famine.]

I'm glad you got it back from the monster. Grandma has a special ring. She never takes it off because Grandpa gave it to her.

[She lifts her hand, moving it as if to touch the ring on his finger. If he doesn't move to evade her touch, she actually keeps something like half an inch of distance from his ring.]

As for what it does... Well, that heart of Light wrapped up in almost protective Darkness should hint at something.]

[ His parents never actually met Famine, just him and Riku. Famine was his sister in a different way, like Riku was now his brother.

Sora lets her move to touch it-- Something tells him she won't try and do anything to it-- but he is relieved she doesn't actually. ]
