[The sound of the adhesive peeling off of the backing is unbelievably loud, but necessary. So is taping up the door. Red strips of duct-tape are now lining the cracks of the door, with an extra piece covering the keyhole. It might be a pain to get it open later, but it would at least keep out much worse things.
