[ Soras are nothing unusual in this place. Soras with wings aren't unheard of, either, and there's no doubt that this place has seen at least one angelic being of his description, given the light that flows from them. This one literally appears out of nowhere - one moment there's nothing but air hanging over the furniture in the main room, and then, with one little flicker of light, there's a Sora sitting over the back of the couch, large, pure white wings hanging over the other side. He's swaying animatedly to a song only he can hear. ]

[there's only a few seconds that pass before there's suddenly a Riku in the rafters above Sora's head. he leans forward, large wings of his own spreading for balance.]

It's about time, Sora.

[wiiiiiiings. Kai is sufficiently distracted from walking on past!]

[There's a moment where he continues the song in his head, humming the final verse aloud, before Sora tips his head back to look at him with a big grin.]

Aw, c'mon, Riku. I've been busy!

[Sora's still swaying as he turns his head to look at him, smiling brightly, because he can feel how this one is. There's a hum starting in his chest, the beginning of some song.]

[he can't help but return Sora's smile, even if he is humming something Riku thinks sounds okay so far, but is probably corny.]

How's the girl you were watching?

[he just smiles back, watching and listening. it's kind of funny how seeing wings makes him feel sort of wistful.]

Hmmm. I think she'll be just fine.

[His grin gets even wider there. And hey, it's a great song! They always are. His wings stretch out to the sides half-way. He wants to open them up fully, but there's no room where he is right now.]

[He raises an eyebrow at that grin, wondering if Sora had just finished with the same girl he'd been watching over as he was when Riku left.]

There's more room up here, you know.

[he pointedly stretches his own out, not having to worry about furniture or people being in the way.]

Hello.

[It's a Sora, of course he's friendly and polite and interested. Hi, congrats, you're the first person he's initiating conversation with here.]

Hi. Are you new here? I think I'd remember seeing a winged Sora around.

But it's more comfortable down here.

[Because there are cushions, you see. He stands up anyway, and stretches his arms and shoulders out. He'll be up there in the blink of an eye.]

[as soon as Sora's joined him in the rafters, Riku reaches out to grab and pull him into a tight hug. he smells of ginger cookies today! he also missed you like crazy, even if he doesn't actually say it.]

Comfort is relative.

No, you're right! I'm new.

[He extends a hand for Kai to shake, because this is how these things work.]

Well, it's nice to meet you. My name's Kai.

[he'll shake Sora's hand, of course. he's polite, after all. :3]

That's what you say.

[But all of this makes him laugh happily, and he's quick to hug Riku back.]

I missed you too.

[And the scent does not go unnoticed; Sora takes a good whiff of it!]

[Hooray! His wings ruffle up in excitement.]

Sora! But I'm sure you knew that.

[And maaaybe he knew yours too, but shh.]

... Are you sniffing me?

[it's coming from his wings.]

Hard not to in this place.

[honestly? he wouldn't be surprised to hear that!]

You smell like cookies!

[Which says that yes, yes he is, and that you should have been expecting it, Riku. He zeroes in on the source pretty fast.]

[It's a gift. But he likes introductions, so this is just fine.]

I kind of just want to line up all of the 'me's single file and watch 'em march past.

I don't think I've ever seen anything like that happen here before.

It's in the water.

[not all water, but he does have quite the set of baths next to his room.]

Maybe I'll organize it later.

[You have to admit, it'd be pretty interesting.]

The water smells like cookies?
