[ So. Communal showers. They suck, right? That's what she thinks. Unfortunately, the usual shower she uses refuses to let her in. As have any other single bathrooms she's managed to find. Riku is pretty sure this place hates her, but there's only so long you can put off a shower. There are no markers to suggest which sex should be showering in here, but fortunately the place has short curtains to shield everything from her shoulders down to her knees.

It's only adding insult to injury that the one she's using just broke, the showerhead snapping off to spray her with a hard stream of water. ]

[of course, a communal shower just wouldn't be communal without other people in it. Roxas here glances over in surprise at the thunk, then looks down when the shower head rolls to touch a bare foot.]

Are you okay?

[why yes, that was a feminine voice.]

[She barely hears it, between the water hitting her face and the way she's scrambling to turn it off. Riku has the appearance of a drowning kitten when she manages to do so, hair hanging flat in her face.]

Fantastic.

You can move to a different one.. I won't look.

[she's standing in just a towel, dutifully looking aside with a hand over her chest to keep the towel from sliding off.]

[Oh my god this place hates her. Riku stays where she is for a moment, but the combination of the cold and the soap still covering half of her gets her grabbing her towel to wrap around her, and pushing the curtain aside so she can move to the nearest shower as quick as possible.]

[guess who is totally stealing a peek. not much, just enough of one that Roxas gets a nice view of some leg and that towel flapping around them. she clears her throat and waits for the curtain to close, then... casually takes the stall right next to the one Riku chose.]

So... Have you been here long?

[Why you-- You're lucky she doesn't notice, too busy making sure she's covered by the towel and then the new curtain. That makes her pause before turning on the water. She wasn't expecting conversation.]

... I guess.

[the water is being turned on, but she's testing how warm it is with a toe before even thinking of getting under the spray.]

It's strange. I've never seen so many people that look like me, or the people I know.

[Riku snorts at that, slicking half of her hair back and turning her own water on. She's already wet, what does she care if she's under it?]

I'd be surprised if you had.

[she'd rather not end up leaping out of the stall from freezing water, thank you.]

I've only been here a few days. They say there isn't a way out.

[Wuss. She just shakes her head, turning to she can put her back under the water.]

They're right.

[ >:| if she'd heard that, she would have ignored it. oh look, there's a towel hitting the floor on the other side of that wall, Riku. with some daintily painted toes peeking under the edge of the wall as Roxas moves under the water finally.]

That's what I was afraid of.

[...oh. Well. Of course there is. It's kind of ha- difficult to take showers when you've got a towel on you, isn't it? ... Yeah she's just gonna close her eyes.]

Did you think they were lying?

[the left foot isn't even the same shade as the right. there's a splurting sound- Roxas's shampoo did it, not her. honest!]

I was hoping it was just some prank everyone pulled on the new people.

[Riku would hope so, and will kindly resist looking at her feet, thanks.]

New people? Who could pull something like that off?

[mmm, this smells good. like apples and cinnamon.]

Oh, I dunno. Picking on the people who seem obviously out of place, like I know I did.

That's everyone when they show up here.

[She leans back into the water, arms crossed slightly, cracking an eye open when the scent hits her.]

A few days, right? You haven't seen anything yet.

What do you mean?

[it smells like delicious baked apples.]

I mean you haven't even witnessed some of things this place will do.

[Note: Ask her what brand of shampoo she uses when we're not discussing the dressing room's cruelty.]

The magic stuff, right? Does it only happen when someone ticks off whoever's running the place?

[oh did she happen to steal the last of yours.]

If only. We don't know who runs the place, if anyone does.

That sounds pretty inconvenient. If there isn't someone actually in charge, wouldn't that mean we're being watched all the time by a sentient world?

... I think that's what at least half of the people here believe.

[She wouldn't be surprised, herself.]

Like that isn't creepy at all. It could be watching us, right now.

I try not to think about that when I'm in the shower?

[Hint hint, please don't talk about it. Brb she's going to duck her head under the water.]

[yes well, she's currently doing the same, so you'll have a blissful few moments of quiet and the sound of water running ~~over pale skin and small, pert breasts.~~ only to have the peace broken again when another thought occurs to her.]

Is it true there's a room full of tentacles?
