[The sun is just beginning to set in the beach room, pink and orange clouds reflecting on the water far out to sea. There's a Kairi sitting just at the edge of the water, her legs pulled up as she hugs her knees, the waves occasionally brushing her toes. She watches the sun sink lower, her stomach twisting with nervousness and worry. And not because she's new in the DR - in fact she hasn't realised that yet.]

[Despite her anxiousness, she can't help but smile as soon as she sees him, even though it's just the tiniest bit wobbly.]

[Sorry, she's kind of emotional right now, looking away from him as her eyes tear up.]

She sniffs again, shaking her head a little.]

[Most likely he was the one that suggested it, but she had to agree.]

[Well, yeah. But he didn't really pay much attention to that part.]

Better that he be mad at me than at you.

Because of his irresistible charm? Or his hair? Chicks dig the hair.]

[She leans back a little so she can see his face properly.]

Axel... he's my dad, and I love him, but I'm old enough to realise he can be wrong sometimes. And he's wrong about you.

[...Smiles and presses a kiss to her forehead.]

[Sure sure.

She makes a noise somewhere between a laugh and a hiccup, closing her eyes and smiling as well.]

I also told him I'm keeping it.

[...He needs to be supportive right now. So he'll leave the, Holy shit I'm gonna be a father freakout, for later.

He does look nervous though.]

You... you don't have to, like... do anything. If you don't want to... [That could probably have been explained better in more words, but again. Emotions/hormones. They suck sometimes.]

[Awkward head scratch.]

[He just needs to get over the shock as well.]

[For a moment it looks like she might cry again (from happiness this time), but instead she grabs the front of his shirt and pulls him in for a fierce kiss. Emotions/hormones. They're awesome sometimes.]

[Yes. These hormones he can deal with.

Pulls her close and kisses back.]

[You'd better. Do you know how much estrogen she is going to produce for this kid in the next seven and a half months.

Breaks the kiss just slightly, her forehead resting against his, her lips barely millimetres from his own.]

[Uhhhhhhhhh. A lot?

What hey why so stopping. Oh well. Trails little kisses down her jawline.]

[Exactly.

Tilts her head a little back and to the side, one hand running through his hair.]

[Oh good. Now he can reach her neck easier. Which is where those kisses are heading next.]
