[The silence was unnerving. But expected. After all, she had just told him that she had basically died. Not that she knew that concept exactly. But disappearing, fading. It brought out the same despair none-the-less. But she couldn't get herself to look at him. She was barely holding herself together as it was. Being so distant. Alienating for a moment the most important person to her. It was tearing at her, festering within. Xion had never liked to wear this mask. Why was she picking it up again? Holding it feebly to her face. Struggling to keep its grip. So heavy was it. So delicate.

It look a moment for his voice to finally register. And then the words. Terrible? That word alone couldn't begin to describe the thousand of words that she was coming up with in her head. As she looked back though, as she saw him stumble though. She saw all those words etched in the pain of his expression. Her mask fell a moment again as her eyes snapped wide open-- and then creased into concern as this time she was the one that sought his hand without question. Holding it firmly as she helped him from his stumbling wreck and allowing him to lean against her should he need to. Her eyes strayed as they made for the door though. Ashamed. Ashamed because of his pity.

The thoughts washed out a moment though when he opened the door, feeling tense. As if expecting something to jump out at them. But when nothing did, they were on their way once more. She was quiet for a long time. Just... sneaking glances at him every so often like before. But she couldn't find anymore words to give him. What she had to say before was heavy. It wasn't something that could just be brushed away. She was so caught up in thought that she didn't notice where they were until she felt him stop. And that's when she looked up.

Speaking of the...

Memory Skyscraper. It towered right over them. For a moment, she just stared. Were they really at Never Was? She still couldn't believe it. But the paths were all the same. The castle looked the same, too. And now this... Xion was so concentrated on looking at it though, she failed to see the puddles of black stirring and surrounding them.]
