[anyone near this kitchen may hear a soft "oh" as Kai suddenly collapses in the middle of making something to eat, blood quickly seeping out of a hole in his torso across the floor. frost seems to be creeping along the wound and is slowly moving outward. somewhere in the back of his mind, he wonders if Kairi is hurt.]

(ooc: Taking place during the fight in this thread, which has been moved timeline-wise to after

lunalunasai's post so I don't have to explain Kai being mysteriously healed all over the place from Gem's post on.)

HOLY SHIT.

*this is not something you wanna see when you want to grab something to eat*

[no kidding. try being the one on this end. the frost is still moving outward, ice crystallizing along the wound now. might want to warm him up there and try to stop the blood flow there, Ri.]

*he just wanted a popsicle, but he gets a bloody guy in the kitchen, what a raw deal -- he's freaking out a little bit, hurrying over to assess the situation!*

[looks a whole lot like something big (and probably icy) stabbed him right in the gut, despite the fact that there's no sign of a struggle or even that there was anyone else around.]

[dkfgjnsvkjghdktjg drops what he's doing (he was also in the kitchen, making his own lunch) and manages to catch him before his head can hit the floor. he's wide-eyed, but figures out what's going on almost immediately. the frost is melting quickly as he raises his body temperature – which was climbing anyway from rage – and presses his hands to the wound to stem the flow of blood, hopefully.]

No no no no Kai, stay with me, or a lot more people will be getting their asses kicked than just whoever was stupid enough to attack that bastard.

[he makes a noise in the back of his throat, trying to force things to keep working. he should have been prepared for this, really, and weakly attempts to cast a Cure on himself. it doesn't work so well, but he doesn't want to die, so he had to try.]

[carefully lowers Kai the rest of the way to the floor and scrambles to his feet, digging in a cupboard for potions (because if there aren't a shitload of potions in the kitchens now, for the kind of kitchen accidents that happen around here, then there SHOULD BE). he gathers up as many as he can hold in both hands, and sinks back down next to Kai, uncorking two and pressing one to Kai's mouth, and dumping the other one over the wound.]

[he's quiet, simply going along with what Axel has him doing, though drinking is a little difficult and the potion dumped on his wound makes him cringe.]

[cringing is better than DEAD, okay. IS THIS STUFF HELPING? 8(]

[A LITTLE? POTIONS CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH FOR AN INJURY LIKE THIS, BB.]

[YOU KNOW WHAT. gathers him up carefully, and sets off as fast as he dares to find the older Kai. might as well go straight to the best, right? so will olderKai be in his room or what.]

[he will be. in fact, he'll be waiting at the open door, because he felt Axel approaching. he takes one look at his younger self and steps aside.]

Put him on the bed.

[does so immediately, noticing absently once his hands are free that they're shaking. he'll just. run one hand through his hair and settle anxiously at the foot of the bed.]

[he sets to work on him immediately. this injury is proving a bit difficult to heal.]

Any idea what got him?

*he looks properly confused, and gives Kai a look before placing his hand on the wound; warmth should come over Kai as he's heating his own hand with a Fire spell + Light*

His Gemini. He reappeared recently, and he's figured out how to transfer any injury he gets onto Kai.

[it's definitely nice to feel, especially that Light, but the wound isn't exactly small. he manages to open his eyes slightly, looking to Sora and smiling faintly.]

I figured that part out. I meant what literally got him. Any idea what caused the wound the bastard transferred?

[most of his concentration is on healing, but by now he's used to speaking even when healing large injuries.]

*nevermind that he's got blood covering his hand, he's just concentrating hard on gathering his magic -- he's summoning a Curasa and threading it in with that gentle warmth to melt the ice and allow the warmth and healing magic to seep in better*

You're going to be okay.

[he makes a faint noise of agreement; he believes Sora, if only because he refuses to die.]

There was frost around it when it first appeared, but beyond that I don't know.

[IS HE GETTING BETTER. ;O;]

Well, it's not the work of a Vexen.

[that narrows it down from the few ice users that might be around. he's fairly certain he knows, but he's not telling Axel. and yes, Kai's getting better. a little. slowly.]

*Soras have a way of saying things so that people believe them; is Kai getting any better now? Sora's hand is covered in hot blood*

... how does it feel.

Hurts.

[it'll hurt for a while yet, days at least, but Sora's definitely gotten him past... well, dying or something, that's for sure.]

*phew! he's very happy Kai seems to be on the... opposite side of dying now, but will continue pumping the magic combo into him until he's sure he'll be okay*
