She flips through reports, muttering, before coming to a halt as reality sinks in. Frown.]

[ Don't mind this Kairi over here choking on her toast as soon as she sees Xehanort. ]

[Hunh? She looks over, curious. She hadn't been aware of any relatives of Kairi's except for her grandmother - but that girl...]

Uncanny. I'm sorry - something appears to be wrong. Did I disturb you?

No, sorry, I just- didn't expect to see someone with... your appearance. Sorry, that probably sounds odd, doesn't it?

[ She laughs a bit nervously, ripping off a bit of the toast. ]

It does. [She frowns.] Although the feeling's mutual, in a way. Would you care to explain?

Er, well. There are some people here who... kind of look like you? Only... paler. Blue eyes. Blue hair.

I wasn't aware I even had relatives. Never mind blue haired ones.

[She rubs the back of her neck for a moment.]

Although you remind me of someone, yourself. If you don't mind my asking ... Are you related to the Princess, at all?

[ Ahahaha. Ha. Relatives. Oh, this should be good. ]

[Hey, she's still assuming 'Radiant Garden' here. Even if ... a bit that she hasn't seen before. Somehow. After all. What are the other options?]

'Kind of'? The resemblance is uncanny.

Well... first of all, you're not wherever you were before. This is the dressing room; a sort of crossroads between worlds.

[Wait, what? She looks taken aback. And then doubtful.]

'Crossroads between worlds'. That sounds - well, impossible.

Yeah, I- I know it does. But, well, that's how it is. I'm actually... you asked if I was related to the Princess. I am, and I'm not. See, in my world- dimension? universe?- I am the Princess. Or was, rather. I'm not anymore.

I know it's hard to believe, but I can show you the main area. There are doubles of people all over.

[Trying not to yell - but the Princess is just a kid, you're not, what are you talking about - she nods slowly.]

If you would. I think I'm going to need to see this for myself.

[ It shouldn't be too long before they start seeing various doubles once they start walking. ]

[Another nod. She follows, indeed - eyes growing wide as she does so. Stay detached, stay scientific - not happening as much as she'd hope.]

Like I said. We call it a crossroads between worlds, but it's... well, more than that, really. Worlds, time, universes...

That ... explains why you're older, then, at least.

[She gives a weak laugh.]

And all these people are from - other worlds?

Mmhm! Some of them are from the same worlds, some are lucky enough to have friends or family from the same place.

[ She sounds a tad melancholy there. ]

Well... I'm here now. So that's one more person from Radiant Garden, I'd suppose. [She gives a bit of a smile, which fades quickly, as 'what if' starts to cross her mind.]

Ah, that's... well, I mean their worlds as in people who they grew up with, actually know; there are different variations of the same worlds out there. I'm not the only Kairi here, after all.

[She looks around.]

I ... [voice going quiet.] I see.

And... even so, I don't know how it's going to work in your world, but in mine, I was sent away from Radiant Garden when I was rather young.

[She's quiet for a moment, as she thinks on that point. Not wanting to say anything more-]

Then I hope you've had a good life, wherever you were.

I have. I made some very good friends. Destiny Islands was a wonderful home to me.

[ That "was" pretty clearly means more than just being stuck in the dressing room, but she doesn't elaborate. ]

[She won't pry, even though she's curious.]
