[Sora had meant to spend a relaxing day at the beach, but wandered into something not quite as relaxing as he was expecting: the minute he sat himself down right next to the shore, a bottle with a note inside bumped against his foot. in the few seconds it took for him to pry the cork off of the bottle, another bottle washed up against his leg. then another, and another.]

[he's made a fairly large stack of unopened bottles nearby, and more just keep coming as frequently as the waves. Sora has unrolled the note from the first bottle and is reading it, eyes wide.]

[ooc: want a note, or news from home? there's probably a bottle in the pile addressed to you. i don't mind bbs characters, but no spoilers, please ;___;]

[ ... weird. He was coming in for another nap, but once he sees all the bottles, he starts to pick some up too. Only after a few wash up does he realize they have letters, not trash in them. ]

What're all these doing here...?

[There is a Riku coming up behind him, kicking sand up with her bare feet. Well, up until she notices the pile of bottles. That makes her stop completely.]

[that jars him from the note he's reading-- Sora tilts his head back to look up at Roxas, and shrugs.]

Beats me... They keep showing up, though.

[he turns around, greeting her with a warm smile as he quickly hops to his feet.]

No.. More like receiving them.

[right on cue, another new bottle bumps into his foot. he bends over and snatches it up.]

[ He looks at the vast quantity, before crossing his arms, one finger tapping his temple. ]

Wonder why... there's a lot of 'em.

Well, I .. I think they might be for everybody here.

[holds up the letter in his fist, addressed to him- it's a letter from his mother- he's positive there's no way all those bottles are all for one person, either.]

[She looks pretty confused, and walks closer. Do things like that even reach this place?]

[he looks down to the letter in his hands, reading it aloud-- it probably explains it better than he ever could.]

Dear Sorabug: I don't know if this will reach you, but we all love you and miss you and hope you can come home to visit again soon. Maybe bring your girlfriend home next time! Everyone is doing well. Write back if you can. Love, Mom.

[The look of complete shock on Riku's face is a clear enough reaction, but she feels the need to say something anyway. What, though, she doesn't know. She's maybe a little stunned, and looks down at the bottles.]

Are all of them like that?

Probably! I was gonna go through them and see if I can find the people they're for.

[Sora has his work cut out for him, as they're still piling in from the ocean-- one bottle catches a wave and rolls right past his feet and Riku's.]

[Sora doesn't seem to notice him; he's completely engrossed in reading that note he pulled from the bottle. well, except to nudge another bottle toward the pile when it washes ashore.]

*Rikka bends down to pick up a bottle, and walks closer, handing it to you and speaking kind of shyly.*

[She didn't really think so, but... She'll grab that one and hold it over her head to look at it.]

[is it for Riku? Sora's sort scooting closer, peering at the bottle curiously.]

Huh? Oh! Thanks..

[he gets to his feet, taking the bottle and smiling brightly. he might not recognize Rikka for another few minutes, though; he's so grown up!]

[She snorts at that. And who knows, really? Even if they have names listed, it's almost pointless with all the doubles. She takes a few seconds to think over it, then uncorks the bottle and shakes the paper out.]

[Sora has to refrain from stepping to her and reading over her shoulder. he can't hide his curiosity, though.]

[She's unusually quiet as she reads it, and looks very briefly upset. But it passes quick enough, and she puts a hand to her forehead, messing with her bangs.]

They're looking for me.

[ Well, there's no use in trying to argue. So Roxas sits beside him and starts to go through the bottles, arranging them by person. Soras to the west, Rikus to the east, Roxases to the north and Axels to the south. Namis at northwest, Kairis at northeast, so forth. ]

I'm sorry, Riku. Maybe you could--

[brilliant idea, ahoy! he flips over his own letter and pats his shorts pocket. definitely has a big blue marker in there; random drawing tools sort of comes with the territory of having a 2-year-old brother. he thrusts the paper + marker in her hands.]

[Sora sits down next to him, snatching a few bottles from the pile himself. any letters addressed to a Roxas he hands off to him, just in case. not exactly the relaxing day he was hoping for, but the sound of the waves is plenty relaxing in itself.]

[Well that just confuses her further. She doesn't look upset anymore, though, just amused and bewildered.]

... What would I tell them? 'Don't look for me'? I think Sora's too stubborn for that.
