[so, this has gotten really annoying. of all the rooms to stumble into while bored, malexion manages to find a trap room. and activate the very first trap.

now he's stuck in an iron-barred cage that's only about three feet tall, so he can't even stand fully. that doesn't stop him from slamming his body into the bars, trying to escape. and yes, he's tried portals. apparently the trap room is pretty smart and won't let its victims get away that easily.

the door is wide open, so he and his cage are visible, and you can hear him yelling and banging about all the way down the hallway. help a derp out?

be warned, though. if you're not careful, you might get caught in a trap yourself.]

(ooc; I'm just making this up as I go. trap room is pretty self explanatory -- think more Wile E. Coyote than Indiana Jones, though. portals and keyblades don't work. :|b

[it's been a long time since he's seen a Van. pauses in his banging, squinting at him. then figures it can't hurt and calls out.]

Hey, give me a hand?

Hmmmm... I don't know...

[ He slowly steps up to the cage, tapping on it. ]

I'd hope that you could at least escape a cage, Ventus.

What...

[instantly annoyed, shifting into a kneeling position (it's more comfortable than stooping over) and gripping the bars.]

Not this again! I'm not Ven, I'm Xion!

[[Just pretend she has dark skin in all of the icons, because I am NOT restricting myself to just two.]]

[Here, Xion. Have a (mostly) familiar face peering into that room curiously. She's staying at the door, not even half inside the doorway out of suspicion. Which is probably a good thing, she thinks, when she sees Xion. It kind of makes her want to back right on out, given her dark skin and orange eyes, but she wouldn't leave him like that.]

Xion...?

[Curious about the yelling and banging and has come to investigate!

...Huh.]

Oh?

[ He continues that monotonous tapping... ]

Yet you look exactly like him, and you're not Roxas... But no, I suppose that's about right.

You certainly don't feel the same.

[oh, lookit his eyes go wide. he instantly stops slamming against the bars, staring at this newcomer. she's-- but that skin-- it can't be--

drops down to one knee, a hand coming up to grip the bars as he just stares, clearly not sure what to say, or if he's even right about who she is.]

[She frowns a little at that, and moves so he can see her better with a step inside.]

It's me. I know how I look, but it's me.

[with a great deal of impatience]

I look different to different people. Some guy named Eraqus thought I was Ven, too. But I'm not. I never even knew who he was before I came here!

Master Eraqus... of course he'd see you as one of his pupils. But that's interesting alright.

You don't know Ventus, yet that's exactly who I see you as.

[ Circling the cage a bit. Tap... tap. ]

There must be some sort of connection.

[that makes something in his chest tug sharply. both hands come up to grip the bars.]

Riku... what-- wait! [suddenly seems to remember just what got him in this mess in the first place] Don't come any closer! I think this whole room is full of traps!

[still banging. though he does pause for a second to get his breath. his body is starting to get sore, too, because ow, iron bars.]

[just sits down with his back to the bars, arms folded over his chest as he watches Van circle like a shark.]

I don't know, and I don't care. Are you going to help get me out of here or not?

No, I don't think I will. It'll be much more interesting to see you fend for yourself...

[She freezes instantly when he says that, shoulders tense, and looks around the room.]

Huh... What happened to you?

[... lifts his chin and just stares at him stubbornly. careful, Van, or one of the traps might get you.]

[....Okay. She'll just throw a Fira at the lock then, being careful not to hit him.]

It was just an empty room when I opened the door. I thought it was weird, so I took a few steps inside. I think I stepped on some sort of panel... next thing I knew this thing came crashing down from the ceiling. If I hadn't ducked it might have killed me.

[frowns, banging on one of the bars halfheartedly.]

I tried to call a portal, but couldn't, and I ... don't have the Keyblade, so I'm stuck.

[ They probably will. While usually observant, Van is kind of amused by malexion here and is more focused on that.

Here, he'll even shoot a small bit of thunder magic at the cage, just to see what happens~ ]

[WOAH. scrambles back out of the way anyway, mostly just because he's startled. the Fira doesn't seem to have much of an effect, though there is a bit of damage to the lock.]

Hey... thanks. [small smile.] Just be careful. I think this whole room is riddled with traps.

[--OW.

the minor electrocution makes him spasm, the cry of pain coming belatedly once he can find his voice. he scrambles away from the bars, ending up in a pile in the middle. thankfully, since the cage dropped from the ceiling, there's no floor to it, so he's safe away from the edges. he's glaring murder at Vanitas, though.]

[ He chuckles and...does it again! ]

[Hmm....Carefully walks closer to the cage, before throwing a Blizzara at the lock this time. And then, she'll summon Soul eater to try to smash the frozen lock.]

[just cowers in a tiny little ball in the very center. there's not a lot of room between him and the bars, so a small arc of electricity still manages to jump off and reach him, making him cry out again. at least it's not as bad as when he was in direct contact with the metal, though. still, he's going to yell hoarsely at the jerk]

STOP IT!
