[There's a Vexen zombieing into the kitchen for coffee. He looks like the last time he got any sleep was a couple days ago, and probably shouldn't even be having coffee. There's a splatter of something SUSPICIOUSLY BLOOD-LIKE on his lab coat, in case anyone wants to get accusatory.]

[Perched on the counter, with a large glass of juice and a larger book on his lap. He's intently scanning the pages, but that won't keep him from catching sight of Vexen and his little accessory.]

If you're looking for quicklime, we're fresh out.

[She doesn't even get a glance; he's heading straight for the coffee machine.]

[...Watch his eyebrow twitch for a moment before he carries on to the coffee machine.]

From what fight have you emerged victorious?

I do believe that is none of your business.

[One could blame the bitchiness on needing caffeine, but he's always like this.]

[Sets about making coffee. It's pretty obvious he has no intention of elaborating for the moment.]

[Unfortunately, he's not the sort to let things drop.]

Oh. So you lost?

There was no fight.

[Oh, don't worry, he's used to inane questions; he teaches in a secondary school, after all.]

[Looks up from his book for this one.]

Did you spill on yourself then?

No.

[He's pretty insistent on this not explaining thing.]

[Lexaeus doesn't usually do accusatory, but he is raising an eyebrow at that splatter of red. What have you been up to, Vexen?]

[Man, can't a guy stroll through the DR with blood on his coat and not get looks for it? Sheesh. But no, he glances briefly at Lexaeus before moving to get some coffee.]

[Taking a sip of juice after this PSA.]
