[Kurt's plans for the day hadn't been much. Sword practice, a little study of human cultures in the library, ~~finding something to eat~~ never mind that last one.

It didn't involve falling through the floor into - what the heck? Whatever is down here ... squeaked when he fell on it. There are small forms all around him. Fuzzy ones. Cute ones. Quite a few in pinks and purples and baby blues. Something soft and fluffy just brushed against his leg.]

What in darkness' name...?

[Ugh; he might just have to swallow his pride for a moment. He calls out-]

A little advice, perhaps?

[did someone say human? there's one looking around for the owner of that voice now.]

Did someone say something?

[Ah! He looks up: as if there wasn't enough pink around already, but...]

I'm down here!

[she swears it's natural.]

Down where?

[he can't mean that hole... can he? she's peering over the edge now]

[And somewhere down there, a rather grumpy looking Kurt looks back, arms folded.]

You see, now?

[what are those fuzzy things. are they stuffed animals? either way, she's giggling.]

How did you end up down there?

[Stuffed animals indeed. At least it was a soft landing.]

It appears the floor was damaged.

Any ideas on how to get out of there?

I'm - considering options. If there is a door, it's past all-

[He throws a rabbit out. It is adorable.]

-These.

[It is. She might even keep it.]

Hold on, I'll be right back!

[she's gone.. probably a good five minutes before she returns and tosses down a flashlight. It's shaped like Hello Kitty.]

Here!

[He gives it a Look. Well... he appreciates the attempt, anyway. With a bit of unfamiliar fumbling, he switches it on - ah. There's a lot he can see in darkness, but doors and stairs aren't among them.]

That's - an improvement. Thank you.

[she saw that Look and had to bite her lip to keep from letting him hear her giggle again.]

No luck though, huh?

[he looks too big for her to pull out. she's not even sure she'd be able to reach him.]

Nothing's obvious so far... it's just these - toys, all around me. I presume there must be a limit. A wall. Somewhere.

Do you think if I found some rope or something, you'd be able to pull yourself out?

If you can find somewhere to anchor it securely, that'd be as good an option as any.

[Relying on help - not his usual. But he'll take it if she's offering.]

[nods and disappears again. when she comes back there's a rustling sound, then some sheets tied together with knots - extras for handholds - comes down over the edge.]

There isn't really anything to tie it to, so I tied it to the doorknob. Is that okay?

[He thinks, then nods.]

It's as worth a try as the next thing.

Alright. All set!

[she's holding onto it too- but if he isn't careful climbing up they might both end up down there.]

[He nods, gives a test pull and starts. At least he's not quite as heavy as he looks, but the ropes and sheets are still making a few ominous noises.]

[... and when he's about halfway up, there goes the doorknob. and the girl. good thing there's such a cushy landing down there, because she's too surprised to let go of the sheet she's holding]

[Ack! And there he goes, crashing down in a heap of flying fluff. Dryly-]

...Perhaps that wasn't the best of plans, after all.

[looks up at the hole accusingly]

It seemed like it would work.

It made as much sense as anything, at least.

[He sighs.]

We need another option.

Do you think I'd be able to reach if I stood on your shoulders? If I could get out I could try finding something better to get you out, too.

Do you think you would? [He looks up.] Again, we can try...

Only if you promise not to look up my dress.
